As a STEP Field Sales Rep, you will have broad exposure to our sales organizations and leadership teams through our 18 month rotational program. Your participation in special projects and strategic initiatives will be critical to overall success of our Medical Surgical business strategies. The Medical Surgical Operating Unit strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions Throughout your 18 month rotational program, you will rotate through clinical trainings within our Core Surgical, Gynecology and Hernia business. Under the direction of your manager, you will: - Prepare plans for a project you own - Collaborate on cross-functional teams - Participate in project reviews - Implement advances in analytics - Identify opportunities for productivity and quality improvement - Support clinical procedures in the operating room - Sales and clinical training - Exemplary customer and field support - Supporting strategic product conversions - Developing clinical and technical product acumen - Establishing relationships with existing customers to maintain current sales - Exposure to hospital hierarchy and its management structure Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. - Promotes and sells Medtronic's Minimally Invasive Therapies products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. - Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including key opinion leaders and related major medical associations and academic centers of excellence. - Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Minimally Invasive Therapies products and/or services. - Collaborates across key internal stakeholder groups (finance, sales operations, marketing, OEM, etc.) as well as peers to identify and address trends and to support business goals and strategy. - Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors activities. - Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed. - Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing. Must Have: Minimum Requirements - High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years experience* - OR Associate’s Degree AND 2+ years experience* - OR Bachelor’s Degree* - Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences - Overall GPA of a minimum of 3.3 required - Ability to relocate within the United States - Ability to travel upwards of 75% is required Nice to Have - 1-3 years of prior sales experience is highly preferred - Willingness / ability to learn highly technical concepts - Self-driven, able to learn independently - Prior exposure to technical or healthcare environment (preferred) - Leadership experience in groups, volunteer experience, and related extracurriculars - Relevant project and/or internship experience For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. Job Description: The Superintendent/Foreman manages the daily site activities by ensuring the project is constructed in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule. The Superintendent/Foreman directly manages the lead personnel and staff on each project site. A Day in the Life - Daily communication with General Superintendents regarding job specific needs including workforce and equipment requirements. - Daily contact with job site crews to ensure project time schedule and workforce needs are being met. - Schedules subcontractors to complete work as needed. Monitors subcontractor work to ensure work is complete per subcontractor agreement. - Maintains safe working environment by identifying workplace hazards and taking corrective action when necessary. - Ensures employees have up-to-date information on safety procedures and policies. - Conducts daily Job Hazard Awareness meetings, daily stretching, and weekly Tool Box topics. - Complete daily record keeping including: daily logs, equipment schedules, material schedules, and time cards. - Manages field personnel in fair and equitable manner in accordance with Veit policies, procedures, as well as compliance with local and federal laws. - Addresses staff performance issues as they occur. - Participates in pre-construction meetings to discuss project start up and project planning. Role Description The District Field Technician serves as the primary field-level technical expert and support resource within an assigned geographic district. This role is responsible for resolving customer escalations, quality issues, and completing hands-on installations weekly to support capacity, quality assurance, and field standards. Part of the role will be working side by side with newly onboarded technicians on their first several installations to ensure they are providing the expected service. The District Field Technician acts as a product expert, problem solver, and quality ambassador, installer, ensuring consistent service within a territory. Key Responsibilities - Hands-On Installations, Field Support & Market Coverage: - Complete approximately 3–5 installations per week to support capacity during peak demand. - Validate installation standards. - Assist with complex or high-profile jobs. - Follow the same documentation, quality, and customer service standards as independent technicians. - Serve as a field resource for independent technicians when questions arise regarding product complexity, site conditions, and installation challenges. - Identify recurring issues and communicate trends to leadership. - Support coverage planning by providing insight into technician availability, skills, and gaps within the district. - Customer Escalation & Quality Resolution: - Serve as the primary escalation contact for complex or high-priority customer issues within the district. - Respond to and resolve issues such as assembly defects, missed expectations, product damage, or incomplete installations. - Conduct on-site visits when necessary to assess, correct, or complete work. - Coordinate with operations, customer service, and contractors to ensure timely resolution. - Document escalation outcomes and root causes to support continuous improvement. - Onboarding & Quality Assurance: - Lead field-based onboarding for newly onboarded 1099 assembly technicians. - Demonstrate proper assembly techniques, safety best practices, and manufacturer guidelines for outdoor products including playsets, gazebos, pergolas, greenhouses, and outdoor kitchens. - Verify technicians understand product requirements, job documentation expectations (photos, completion notes), and customer interaction standards. - Provide feedback and coaching focused on outcomes and quality expectations, not methods or schedules. Qualifications - Hands-on experience assembling outdoor residential products (playsets, gazebos, pergolas, or similar). - Prior experience training or mentoring technicians strongly preferred. - Experience working in a contractor-based or field-service environment is highly desirable. Requirements - Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. - Ability to remain calm and professional in escalated situations. - Organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation habits. - Comfortable traveling within an assigned district. - Ability to lift and move heavy components (up to 75 lbs). - Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions. - Comfortable using power tools and hand tools regularly.
