About the Position Pond & Company is currently looking for an experienced Biosafety Program Scientist III to join our Science & Technology team in our growing Life Science & Industrial division. This position will work remote from Maryland. The Biosafety Program Scientist III is responsible for executing and managing a diverse range of projects in the areas of operational planning, laboratory operations, training, and biosafety and biosecurity for private, academic, and federal clients. Job duties also include supporting client interactions and collaborations, managing resources, and participating in business development. Qualifications/Requirements: - Master's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field; PhD highly preferred. Alternatively, an additional 5 years of biosafety experience may substitute for an MS degree. - Minimum of 5 years in biosafety-related roles. - Possesses a good working knowledge of biosafety and biosecurity regulations, standards, guidelines, and industry best practices, with the ability to interpret and apply knowledge to develop and deliver tailored client solutions. - At least one certification or ability to obtain a Certified Biological Safety Professional (CBSP) or Registered Biosafety Professional (RBP) certification at present or within 2 years from hire; alternative certifications may be considered. - Experience working in or managing high-containment laboratories/facilities is highly desirable. - Preference given to applicants with prior experience supporting or managing biosafety or select agent programs. - Familiarity with containment facility systems, laboratory construction, commissioning, and verification activities is beneficial. - Ability to interpret facility design documents and blueprints is a plus. - Highly organized with attention to detail and self-driven work ethic. - Proficient in Microsoft Office. - Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Self-motivated with excellent teamwork skills; ability to thrive in both autonomous and collaborative settings. - Ability to travel roughly 50% of the time, with potential for international travel at times (a valid US passport or the ability to obtain one will be required for this role) All Pond & Company positions require participation in at least one in-person interview as part of our hiring process, and most roles also require in-person onboarding at a Pond office location; candidates should expect to meet directly with our team and should be cautious of any communication suggesting otherwise.
