Role Description We are seeking a Biosafety Program Scientist IV to join Pond & Company’s growing Science & Technology team in our Life Science & Industrial Division. Alternatively, 10 years of CBRN, biosafety, or biosecurity experience may substitute for a MS degree. - Minimum of 8 years in biosafety- and biosecurity-related roles. - In-depth expertise in CBRN, cybersecurity, incident response, biosafety and biosecurity regulations, standards, guidelines, and industry best practices. - Highly organized with attention to detail and self-driven work ethic. - Proficient in Microsoft Office. - Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Self-motivated with excellent teamwork skills; ability to thrive in both autonomous and collaborative settings. - Ability to travel 50%; some travel may be international, therefore a current valid passport or ability to quickly obtain one is required. The successful candidate would be mentored by our dynamic team of professionals while leading the startup and commissioning effort for a range of construction and recommissioning projects. The main objective of this role is to lead the planning and field commissioning of Life Science and Industrial projects in pharmaceutical, research laboratories, cGMP, and advanced manufacturing markets. Title: Senior Process Engineer Location: Nevada (Remote), Carson City, Nevada, United States of America Job Description: About the Position We are seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer to join our growing Process team. The ideal candidate possesses over 10+ years of Industrial Process design related experience. The ideal candidate would have extensive industrial experience in chemical, bio-chemical, pharma, or process design engineering. This role will be responsible for leading process engineering assignments in a multi-disciplinary environment across a wide range of process industry projects. The successful candidate would also interface with clients and support proposal development. This position could be located anywhere in the continental United States. All Pond & Company positions require participation in at least one in-person interview as part of our hiring process, and most roles also require in-person onboarding at a Pond office location; candidates for remote roles should expect to meet directly with our team and should be cautious of any communication suggesting otherwise. Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in chemical, bio-chemical, pharma, or mechanical process design engineering. Ensure permitting requirements are established and communicated with client and project team. Identify and inform project scope changes to project manager. Provide support on project change notices by estimating time, cost and developing additional scope change. Plan and execute work for project team for various size projects. Manage various size projects by tracking and maintaining quality standards, budget, and schedule. Delegate work to other engineers and designers based on their skill level. Ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and on time. Produce optimal design, engineering calculations, preliminary designs, and material take-offs suitable for appropriate level of cost estimate. Develop Bid packages and work with vendors and clients to develop cost estimates and proposals. Review vendor fabrication drawings, and other construction submittals for process design, industrial codes/standards, and good engineering practice verification. Support development of department standards, procedures, and guidelines. Check calculations, reports and studies to ensure quality, design criteria, specifications, industrial codes/standards, good engineering practices are met. Knowledgeable of process industry standards and methodologies required to design and construct process industry manufacturing projects. Coordinate and consult with other discipline lead to ensure quality and workflow of the project is met. Perform required fieldwork to gather, verify process data and tie-ins and provide construction support. Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope review meetings, proposal development, and client presentations. Travel as required for on-site work, project meetings, client presentations, or training opportunities. Actively participate in training and mentoring junior engineers.
