Operations Program Manager

FTC Solar Inc

Role Description As an Operation Program Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for the duration of the project from post-sale to completion of performance testing and transition to operations and maintenance of the Voyager+ and 1P Pioneer Tracker products. - Manage a portfolio of projects of varying size and complexity across the United States, each at different stages of completion, ensuring consistent execution and delivery. - Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining daily communication to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. - Lead external communications with customers regarding FTC Solar–supported activities, including: - Weekly meeting documentation - Delivery status of materials - Requests for information (RFIs) - Construction and commissioning support - Execution of change orders - Other customer-issued requests - Manage internal communications with executive leadership, providing regular updates on: - Project execution - Financial performance - Expenses - Customer requirements - Escalations - Risk exposure - Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including internal timelines, to ensure on-time fulfillment and adherence to contractual commitments. - Coordinate cross-functional internal teams and external partners to ensure projects remain within defined scope, schedule, and budget, proactively adjusting plans when necessary to meet project requirements. - Identify, assess, and manage project risks through a strong understanding of contractual obligations, collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that minimize exposure and resolve issues quickly. - Provide comprehensive customer support before, during, and after installation, ensuring successful construction and commissioning while exceeding customer expectations. - Oversee daily system updates and data maintenance for assigned projects to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and transparency. - Apply Continuous Improvement principles to enhance business processes, reduce total costs, and identify opportunities for system improvements. - Lead root cause analysis for late deliveries, cost variances, or product deficiencies, implementing corrective and preventive actions to strengthen overall performance. - Travel is required for key customer meetings and construction site visits to reinforce relationships and ensure successful project execution. - Drive overall value creation by maintaining strong customer partnerships, improving operational efficiency, and delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required (preferred fields: Logistics, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related discipline). - 4+ years of experience in project management or a customer-facing role. - 3–5 years of experience in supply chain operations (preferred). - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. - Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Experience with construction contracts and construction contract administration (if applicable to role). - Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building skills that drive team performance and deliver results. - Strong sense of integrity with a commitment to meeting and exceeding expectations. - High level of accountability and proactiveness; ownership of project success. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply project management methodologies, conduct root cause analysis, and support process improvement initiatives. - Strong critical thinking, analytical, and quantitative skills. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - High sense of urgency with the ability to delegate effectively. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including with customers and executive leadership. - Strong team development and collaboration skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). - Experience developing and maintaining tools, templates, and operational processes to support project portfolios. - Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed to ensure exceptional customer support and project delivery.
