• Steward core data assets: Maintain and steward the data that powers Atlas. Contribute to pipelines and infrastructure alongside engineers, and own data quality and integrity long-term. • Design data models: Develop and maintain foundational data models, tables, metrics, and transformations that serve as source of truth for the data product. • Be the data expert: Develop deep expertise in the civic data that powers Atlas, including metadata and data contracts. Understand what partners and internal teams need, and find ways to make data more accurate, accessible, and usable. • Support data consumers: Help researchers, product owners, and other downstream consumers understand data logic and how data flows through Atlas. Build relationships across teams to ensure collaborative problem-solving. • Resolve data issues: Investigate and fix issues when they arise, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., data vendors, technology partners, etc.). • Improve operations: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data quality, coverage, or timeliness. Find ways to make data processes more efficient and implement improvements to tools and methodologies.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a data-focused role with demonstrated ownership over complex datasets or data products;
- Experience with civic, election, or government data, including datasets containing PII;
- Experience working geospatial data; familiarity with large datasets containing ragged hierarchies and complicated historical perspectives;
- Familiarity with ELT/analytics engineering patterns (e.g., dbt, dimensional modeling, data contracts);
- Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries and large dataset manipulation;
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities; and
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and data consumers to help drive data strategy and collaborative partnerships.

We’re seeking a curious, strategic, and technically strong Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Data Science team—specifically supporting our Content function. In this high-impact role, you’ll help drive smarter content decisions, power personalization strategies, and unlock viewer engagement through data. As a Senior Data Scientist at Tubi, you’ll lead end-to-end analytical projects that shape what our viewers see and how they experience our platform. You’ll work at the intersection of content strategy, product, marketing, and monetization, bringing a rigorous experimentation mindset and technical expertise to our most critical initiatives. Your work will be crucial in expanding our audience, optimizing our content library, and developing data-driven frameworks that scale with the business.
