Security Sales Specialist
Akamai Technologies
• Identifying, developing and qualifying leads within driving sales opportunities through cold-calling, partner-selling, lead-generation and social selling techniques. • Traveling up to 50% of the time to expos, events and customer visits. • Leading the Enterprise Security agenda internally and externally • Building and executing a territory plan targeting CISOs, CIOs, and VP-level security leaders • Running a 100% hunter motion focused on landing new enterprise logos • Bringing enterprise domain expertise (infrastructure, applications, networking, security) to C-suite conversations
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant enterprise SaaS or security experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Direct experience selling into senior executives with strong C-level access
- Proven track record of closing net-new enterprise deals ($250K-$1M+ ACV)
- Experience in Micro-Segmentation, Firewalls, Data Center Technology, SASE/Zero Trust, or Secure Enterprise Browser solutions
- Methodology-driven (MEDDIC, Challenger, Sandler) for forecast accuracy
- Thrive in high-pressure, high-reward startup environments where you build your own pipeline
- Excellent communication skills presenting to various stakeholders.

• Lead Application Security Team • Manage a team of 3-5 security engineers focused on vulnerability remediation across multiple products • Triage and prioritize security findings from scanning and penetration testing teams • Own the end-to-end process from vulnerability identification to verified fix • Build relationships with product engineering teams to coordinate remediation work without disrupting roadmaps • Personally fix complex security vulnerabilities across different codebases and tech stacks • Design and build secure libraries and components that product teams can adopt • Conduct security-focused code reviews and establish secure coding patterns • Define and maintain secure coding standards for AI-assisted development • Develop remediation playbooks for common vulnerability classes • Partner with the security scanning team to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives • Establish metrics to track remediation velocity, fix quality, and regression rates • Drive security awareness through documentation and training • Ensure remediation work meets requirements for SOC2, PCI, and other applicable frameworks
