The Role AXS is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager to lead the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of business growth opportunities within the live entertainment sector. This role will focus on AXS’s festival division including music festivals, fairs, and greenfield events, while also supporting efforts to grow our music venue and promoter business. This role is responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of new business opportunities, optimizing sales channels, and driving growth of our festival vertical. Key duties include managing strategic partnerships, negotiating financial arrangements, and overseeing pitch decks, meetings, proposals, and contracts. The position prioritizes investments in new product initiatives and integrates new business concepts into the broader organizational strategy. Collaboration with the business development review board and the festival & greenfield business unit, is essential for refining revenue growth processes. What Will You Do? - Pipeline Growth: Lead the strategic development and expansion of a client pipeline within the festival and fair categories, and assist with identifying and capitalizing on high‑potential opportunities within all music categories including clubs, theaters, casinos, and arenas. - Vertical Growth Strategies: Develop and implement growth strategies for the music vertical through lead generation and relationship‑building initiatives, aligned with broader business goals. - Financial Proposals and Negotiations: Work with Business Development leadership to help manage financial deal models, proposals, and lead contract negotiations for new partnerships and renewals, ensuring terms that support long‑term objectives. - Revenue Growth: Contribute to achieving and surpassing revenue targets by identifying key opportunities within assigned verticals. - CRM Maintenance: Regularly update opportunities and pipeline to ensure data integrity and process optimization. - Industry Representation: Represent AXS at select industry events and tradeshows. Facilitate strategic meetings and events with external partners and prospects. - Executive Support: Assist the Business Development leadership team with strategic tasks and ad‑hoc initiatives that drive growth. - Partnership Development & Pitch Meetings: Cultivate relationships with potential partners and lead efforts to secure and coordinate meetings that drive business opportunities. Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus and commission under the current bonus and commission plan requirements.
