Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Provide expert engineering, sustainment, and enhancement support for VA E&E products, including VistA REE during its operational period - Support Veteran Experience Services Eligibility and Enrollment (VESEE) sustainment and enhancement for VA E&E products, including VistA RE&E - Develop and maintain components within the Legacy Technology Stack, including MUMPS (VistA) - Operate in a delivery environment with sprint-based execution, reporting progress, issues, metrics, and risks - Design, develop, and sustain MUMPS routines and VistA RE&E packages - Refeactor legacy code to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability - Analyze and document existing VistA REE workflows (registration, eligibility, enrollment) to inform migration and integration with the Enterprise System (ES) - Implement integration bridges between VistA REE and ES using HL7, RPCs - Develop data extraction, normalization, and reconciliation utilities to migrate RE&E data into ES with full lineage and auditability - Perform ongoing maintenance, including bug fixes, performance tuning, routine maintenance, and documentation upkeep - Track, analyze, and resolve Tier 2/3 user-reported issues with minimal disruption - Support monitoring activities and proactively identify issues and contribute to optimization - Support secure operations and compliance activities (FedRAMP, FISMA, IRS 1075, HIPAA) - Assist with patching and remediation - Implement enhancements and upgrades based on priorities, feedback, and refinements - Support integration/configuration coordination to maintain interoperability with other systems Required Skills and Experience - MUMPS (VistA) development experience supporting legacy applications - Hands-on production support experience with triage, RCA, validation, Tier 2/3 resolution - An ability to support maintenance work and maintain documentation - An ability to work within sprint cadence and provide sprint reporting inputs (status, issues, metrics, and risks) Professional CertificationsExperience supporting VA VistA RE&E or E&E capabilities Familiarity with regulated federal environments and compliance expectationsYears of Professional ExperienceTwo (2) or more years of professional experienceDesired experiencen/aFormal EducationBachelor’s degree in technical discipline (8 years of experience in lieu of degree to meet education requirement)Citizenship RequirementU.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunitySecurity Clearance RequirementsMust possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)CRITICAL NOTES: - SSG will not make assumptions regarding your qualifications.
