Summary: A Healthcare Interface Developer is needed to build foundational data exchange interfaces connecting hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and public health agencies. This remote position, operating within the Central or Eastern Time Zone, involves hands-on development, configuration, and maintenance of interfaces using Rhapsody Integration Engine, HL7 v2, CDA, and FHIR APIs. The role is pivotal in establishing reliable interoperability and assisting in the migration of Rhapsody to a cloud environment, paving the way for enhanced population health insights and patient care improvements. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy HL7 v2.x, CDA, and FHIR interfaces using Rhapsody Integration Engine. - Implement public health reporting interfaces, such as electronic case reporting (eCR), immunization reporting, syndromic surveillance, and electronic laboratory reporting (ELR). - Assist with planning and exploring FHIR-based interfaces for future interoperability initiatives. - Configure Rhapsody channels, connectors, and transformations for secure and reliable data exchange. - Develop and maintain HL7/FHIR message schemas, mappings, and transformations for clinical and public health workflows. - Support the migration of Rhapsody interfaces from on-premises to cloud-based environments, including configuration, testing, and validation. - Monitor interface performance and apply validation, error handling, and basic data quality practices. - Troubleshoot integration issues such as message parsing, routing, and data integrity challenges. - Collaborate with clinical informatics teams, IT staff, and public health stakeholders to define and implement interface workflows. - Stay current on emerging interoperability standards and healthcare data exchange practices. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Rhapsody Integration Engine Professional Certification.
  • 2+ years of experience developing healthcare interfaces using HL7 v2.x, CDA, or FHIR.
