Director – Practice (Insurance)

Practice Leadership & Strategy - Define the combined strategy and capability roadmap for P&C and Life Insurance practices. - Build reusable domain frameworks, solution accelerators, modernization blueprints, and reference architectures. - Develop partnerships with leading platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Sapiens, EIS, OIPA, FINEOS, etc.). - Drive P&L ownership, revenue growth, and contribution margin for the insurance practice. - Monitor industry trends to shape future offerings (e.g., parametric insurance, embedded insurance, behavior‑based life products). Business Growth & Go‑To‑Market - Support large multi‑tower RFPs and transformation pursuits across P&C and Life Insurance. - Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Alliances, and Pre‑Sales teams to define differentiated GTM offerings. - Create value propositions for policy admin modernization, underwriting transformation, AI/ML initiatives, and claims innovation. - Engage in analyst briefings, industry forums, and thought leadership to enhance market visibility. Client Advisory & Consulting - Serve as a strategic advisor to CXOs of insurers, reinsurers, MGAs, TPAs, pension providers, and group benefit administrators. - Lead consulting engagements around: - Core system modernization (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, OIPA, EIS, etc.) - Underwriting transformation & risk assessment - Claims modernization & automation - Data modernization, cloud strategy, AI/ML use cases - Actuarial support and regulatory compliance (IFRS17, LDTI, NAIC guidelines, Solvency II) - Define future‑state operating models and transformation roadmaps. . Delivery Oversight & Governance - Ensure domain-aligned delivery excellence across both P&C and Life programs. - Govern multi‑year transformation engagements (core PAS, claims/billing, digital portals, underwriting engines, data/AI). - Proactively manage risks, quality, timelines, and client satisfaction. - Drive continuous improvement, automation, and productivity initiatives. . People Leadership & Capability Development - Build and manage a high-performing team of domain SMEs, solution architects, and consultants across P&C and Life. - Define learning paths, certification programs (LOMA, CPCU, AINS, platform certifications). - Promote a culture of innovation, thought leadership, and knowledge sharing. - Coach teams on domain depth, consulting skills, and client engagement capabilities. Skills & Competencies - Strong knowledge of insurance products, distribution channels, and regulatory frameworks. - Understanding of core insurance systems (policy admin, claims, billing, CRM). - Familiarity with industry platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, SAP FS, Majesco, etc.). - Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. - Ability to communicate complex insurance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
