Technical Program Manager

• Lead end-to-end technical programs across product, engineering, data, and security, from initial scope through launch and continuous improvement • Collaborate closely with executive leaders and senior stakeholders to translate strategic vision into actionable roadmaps and align on priorities and tradeoffs • Coordinate distributed teams across time zones using strong asynchronous communication, providing structure, clarity, and consistent status updates • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies while facilitating decisions that balance speed, quality, and customer impact • Partner with customer success and cross-functional teams to refine communication plans, and operational workflows • Champion GitLab's values and culture within programs, fostering collaborative excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation
Job Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical program initiatives in product, engineering, data, or security environments, with demonstrated success delivering complex programs from inception through scaled adoption
- Strong background in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps technology companies, with ability to quickly master the GitLab platform and AI/ML initiatives
- Excellence in cross-functional leadership, with experience partnering with engineering, product, security teams and engaging effectively with senior and C-level stakeholders
- Outstanding communication skills, including asynchronous collaboration, executive reporting, and the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business impact
- Track record of success in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving technical requirements and market opportunities
- Strong facilitation and influence skills, with ability to drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups while building trust through transparency and delivery excellence
- Collaborative leadership style aligned with GitLab's values, including respect, openness to feedback, and commitment to team success
