Role Description The Payroll Analyst reports into the Finance Shared Services (FSS) Payroll Director. The position is responsible for payroll data entry and validation tasks, including: - Collecting and processing labor, travel, and enterprise files. - Loading all information into PeopleSoft Payroll. - Validating gross to net payroll calculations for accuracy and error-free processing. - Performing entry of supplemental earnings and deductions into web-based payroll data entry tools (e.g., Web Payroll Interface). - Following policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of payroll information. - Interfacing with various groups within the FSS including Time Collection, Travel and Expense, and Payroll Processing. *** PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE PROCESSING SATURDAY PAYROLLS ON A WEEKLY BASIS *** Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs day-to-day activities related to the data entry and validation of payroll for employees in BAE Systems, Inc. - Executes processes via an automated scheduler which loads on-cycle payroll information including labor (time collection), travel and expense, and other enterprise files. - Calculates and enters supplemental earnings transactions (e.g., military differentials, PTO sell, etc.) and deductions (e.g., employee repayments) to ensure complete and accurate gross to net payroll can be developed. - Supports any incoming requests to perform off-cycle payroll processing, as required. - Reviews and validates payroll prior to any payroll run or disbursement to ensure payroll is complete and accurate across the organization. - Troubleshoots issues in conjunction with the Payroll Processing team. - Assists with Payroll Testing during implementation projects. - Performs other related duties, as required. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree with 1 year relevant payroll experience; or 2 years payroll related experience with an Associates Degree; OR a minimum of 4 years direct payroll related experience with a High School Diploma. - Familiarity with payroll functions and processes. - Familiarity with enterprise-wide payroll software. - Experience with Microsoft Office required. - Strong process and systems skills. - Proficiency with numbers and strong attention to detail. - 2+ years experience highly preferred. - Able to articulate complex subject matter effectively. - Able to anticipate problems and respond accordingly. - Familiarity with PeopleSoft Payroll. - Familiarity with federal and state wage and tax laws. - Payroll certifications (including FPC or CPP) preferred. - Experience interfacing with customers. - Excellent entrepreneurial skills and ability to work independently. The Payroll resource will be the first point of contact for supporting change requests and supporting their internal Corteva stakeholders. This is a remote based role that could be based in USA, Canada or Mexico. Primary Responsibilities - How will you help us Grow! - Review, enter/validate payroll/time transactions and related data in ADP GlobalView payroll system. - Partner with the Payroll vendor to execute payroll processing through each step of the payroll end to end process including the variance analysis and payroll funding coordination. - Investigate, validate, correct, and provide employee/manager support with overpayments/underpayments when identified/required. - Process specific payroll transactions as assigned – examples include bank rejects/daily equity transactions and off cycle and immediate pay requests. - Administer and resolve cases via the case management system and respond to employees/managers/time partners directly regarding inquires in accordance with all internal SLAs. - Identify and/or participate in the identification and development of new procedures and policies striving to drive operational efficiency and recommend changes to optimize operations and improve efficiency. - Support stakeholders by collaborating on new or enhanced programs. - Compile simple to moderate payroll or time reports for internal payroll validation. - Assist with troubleshooting pay or time issues and driving resolution both internally and with customers. - Support the operation by adhering to both internal and vendor SLAs. - Lead the Payroll change requests from requirements to production. - Participate in projects / enhancements from development to production including system upgrades or new configuration requirements, as needed.
