Role Description Pentecom is seeking a Quality Assurance and Data Configuration Specialist to join our team! The Quality Assurance and Data Configuration Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and integrity of technical deliverables and project data. This role integrates quality assurance, data governance, and configuration management practices to support regulatory compliance, operational accuracy, and efficient project execution. Please note: The Quality Assurance and Data Configuration Specialist position is a full-time, remote position. - Review technical deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal standards, and quality objectives - Develop, maintain, and enhance QA checklists and validation tools - Maintain and improve QA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) - Support compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and applicable military, government, and international standards - Document approved project-specific deviations from established standards and maintain deviation records - Contribute to process development, continuous improvement initiatives, and internal training material - Administer and maintain access to required government systems, including CAC credentials and mandatory security training requirements - Manage and execute secure data transfers between government systems such as Contenta and internal Pentecom systems - Define, document, and maintain standardized project folder structures and associated usage guidelines - Establish and maintain naming conventions, version control protocols, and file management controls - Document workflows, required artifacts, storage locations, and artifact dependencies to ensure traceability and configuration control - Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to ensure adherence to dependency, configuration, and data governance requirements - Conduct periodic quality and configuration compliance audits on active projects Qualifications - 4+ years of experience operating directly in USAF CSDBs (e.g., Contenta S1000D) - Experience supporting military technical publications or defense-related documentation - Background in technical writing, editing, or structured content development - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications - Knowledge of XML technologies (XML, XSD, XPath, XQuery) - Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and configuration management principles preferred Requirements - Bachelor’s degree preferred, or associate degree with relevant experience - Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education - Quality certification in the ISO 9000 series or related discipline is a plus Additional Requirements - Must be a U.S. citizen and reside within the United States

  • Experience supporting military technical publications or defense-related documentation
  • Background in technical writing, editing, or structured content development
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Knowledge of XML technologies (XML, XSD, XPath, XQuery)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and configuration management principles preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or associate degree with relevant experience
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
