Senior Tax Manager

• Manage all aspects of the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities across U.S. federal, state, and local jurisdictions, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. • Oversee sales & use tax, income tax, indirect tax filings, and various business registrations. • Partner closely with external tax advisors, internal accounting teams, and Legal to ensure timely, accurate compliance and support tax planning initiatives. • Maintain a comprehensive tax calendar identifying all filing, reporting, and payment deadlines across jurisdictions. • Monitor, manage, and resolve all incoming tax notices and correspondence. • Strengthen internal tax processes, controls, and documentation to support a scalable, professional tax function. • Manage responsibility for any federal or state tax audits conducted by the IRS and state taxing authorities. • Represent tax matters in leadership and cross-functional meetings, providing updates on compliance status, risks, and upcoming requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred.
- At least 7–10 years of progressive tax experience covering both income and indirect tax.
- Demonstrated experience with U.S. multi-state sales & use tax, including nexus analysis and compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, with hands-on involvement in provisions under ASC 740.
- Experience coordinating or overseeing Canada and Puerto Rico tax compliance preferred.
- Exposure to transfer pricing coordination, international indirect tax, and cross-border tax matters preferred.
- Experience with Avalara or comparable tax automation systems preferred.
