Role Description Geometric Solutions is actively seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team! This position can be a hybrid position commuting to our Troy office, or 100% remote. - Provide technical sales support (Pre & Post sales) - Create demos and present to customers based on various functions - Develop and present technical training - Construct proposals and estimate applicable hours - Customer Relationship Management: Write reports and communicate results, issues, & recommendations to the customer Qualifications - BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience - Project management and customer support experience - Understanding and/or experience in Design and Manufacturing process - Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Basic understanding of CAD/CAM - Excellent communication skills Requirements - Problem-solving experience in a manufacturing plant setting - Knowledge of Siemens products such as NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix: Process Designer, Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and VSA - Understanding of Discrete Event Simulation - Understanding of Robotic Systems and Automation Benefits - Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance - Vacation and Holiday pay - Employer matching 401K - Hybrid work schedule after 90 days for eligible positions - Tuition Reimbursement - Flexible Spending Programs (FSAs) - Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insurance - Employee Referral Program - Additional Voluntary Benefit Programs - Off-site company events & Employee Luncheons
Job Requirements
- BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
- Project management and customer support experience
- Understanding and/or experience in Design and Manufacturing process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
