• Lead and execute economic models, including cost‑effectiveness, budget impact, cost‑consequence, early value, and other innovative frameworks. • Develop model analysis plans, conceptual frameworks, parameter selection, and technical documentation. • Build, adapt, and quality‑check models built primarily in Excel and VBA (required). • Apply R and R‑Shiny where appropriate for specific analytical needs, automation, reproducible workflows, or interactive tools. • Use pragmatic approaches to modeling, balancing methodological rigor with real‑world evidence constraints. • Apply or evaluate emerging AI tools to improve model conceptualization, documentation, coding, and scenario exploration. • Draft technical reports, HTA‑ready documentation, and publication-quality materials. • Manage day‑to‑day project operations, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery. • Coordinate project team tasks, ensuring clarity on what’s completed and what’s next. • Provide structure and direction to junior team members while receiving broader guidance from senior project leads. • Support risk mitigation and transparent communication with senior leads. • Serve as a line manager and mentor for junior staff. • Uphold internal quality assurance and quality control standards. • Identify potential follow‑on opportunities within existing client accounts. • Draft proposal text, budgets, scopes, and methodologies with support from senior leaders. • Contribute to capability presentations and discussions in areas of expertise. • Support thought leadership in modeling innovation, pragmatic analytics, and evolving modeling methods.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in health economics, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, economics, or related field (PhD preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in HEOR economic modeling or similar consulting environment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA for model development and adaptation.
- Strong academic record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing project tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi‑regional teams.

Description Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Director Location: The position location is flexible, but location in the mid-Atlantic states is preferred (Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina). Both remote work and location in one of ICF’s offices are possible. ICF is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Director grow and lead work within our transportation group. ICF’s transportation group works with clients to support effective transportation planning and program implementation, drawing on deep expertise in policy, technology, data analytics, environmental and energy issues, resiliency, and communications. We need a dynamic, strategic, and growth-oriented executive to expand our growing ITS footprint across the United States, diversity our client base, and broaden the suite of services provided to state and local transportation agencies.
