• Own and continuously improve end-to-end financial operations, including AP, invoicing, vendor management, and internal controls • Partner with external accounting teams on month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting • Ensure expense management, reporting accuracy, and budget visibility across teams • Identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies in financial processes and proactively implement improvements • Own the identification and elimination of manual, repetitive workflows across the business • Design and implement automations using tools like Zapier, APIs, and AI platforms to scale operations without adding headcount • Leverage AI (LLMs, copilots, agents) to rethink how work gets done. Not just optimize existing processes • Partner with teams (sales, recruiting, ops) to understand pain points and build systems that materially improve speed and output • Act as an internal “force multiplier,” constantly finding ways to do more with less through automation • Own core people operations infrastructure (onboarding, offboarding, benefits, compliance) and evolve it as the company scales • Serve as the operational owner for employee data, documentation, and regulatory requirements • Partner with leadership and advisors on equity administration and related processes • Act as a trusted point of contact for operational people-related questions across the company • Lead planning and execution of board meetings, leadership sessions, and company offsites • Support executive-level coordination, materials, and cross-functional alignment • Drive initiatives that improve internal communication, operating cadence, and execution quality • Take ownership of high-impact operational projects as they arise • Build and maintain clear operational documentation and internal playbooks • Anticipate operational needs and solve problems before they become blockers

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, finance ops, people ops, or similar roles
  • Track record of using AI tools (LLMs, copilots, agents) to fundamentally rethink workflows and eliminate manual work
  • Naturally identifies opportunities to automate and scale operations, and is comfortable building scrappy, high-leverage systems (e.g., Zapier, APIs, AI tools) to drive outsized impact with minimal resources
  • Proven ability to own complex workflows with minimal oversight
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and executive-level communication skills
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on execution with higher-level process design
  • Experience with accounting systems and HR platforms (Haven / Rippling a plus)

Duties include identifying and recovering underpayments on patient accounts. The position will require the ability to multitask within the client team. Essential Job Functions: - Communicate directly with payors to follow up on outstanding underpayments, file underpayment appeals with payors, resolve account variance and ensure timely and accurate recovery of underpayments. - Identify root cause of underpayments, denials, and delayed payments to clients. Work with the client team to identify, document, and address root causes of issues in the A/R with minimal direction. - Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable state and federal insurance regulations as well as payor specific requirements, taking actions on underpayments accordingly. - Document all activity accurately with all pertinent information in the client’s host system, Ensemble IQ, or other appropriate tracking system. - Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness by making recommendations and communicating trends and issues to management. - Operate as a strong problem solver and critical thinker to resolve underpayments, independently solving problems. - Meet all productivity and quality standards as established by Ensemble and - Identify underpayments through both automated and manual means. - Multitask within the client team.
