Title: Private Wealth Analyst Location: Chicago United States Job Description: Job Description: AssetMark Private Wealth helps advisors create customized investment solutions and comprehensive wealth plans for affluent and high-net-worth clients. Our Private Wealth Consulting team partners directly with advisors and AssetMark sales to deliver tailored strategies leveraging deep investment expertise, advanced planning, and a broad wealth management platform. By expanding advisors' capabilities across complex planning needs, the program helps advisors scale their practice and better serve and win high-net-worth relationships. The Private Wealth Analyst supports the AssetMark Private Wealth Consultants in delivering customized investment and wealth management solutions for high-net-worth clients of independent financial advisors. This role supports investment proposal development, portfolio construction, operational, and workflow support to Private Wealth Consultants, enabling scalable, high-quality delivery of AssetMark's Private Wealth capabilities. The Analyst will work closely with Consultants, sales partners, advanced planners, and internal investment and teams to translate advisor and client needs into implementable portfolio solutions and wealth planning deliverables. Over time, the Analyst is expected to progressively assist in consulting and servicing our advisors and their high-net-worth and mass affluent clients. We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Chicago, IL office. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Analysis & Proposal Generation - Prepare customized portfolio proposals and performance illustrations using AssetMark tools and systems. - Coordinate with the internal portfolio construction team to develop customized portfolios for high-net-worth clients. - Perform tax transition and tax management analysis, including data collection, capital gains estimates, tax-loss harvesting frameworks, and tax sensitivity assessments. - Develop advisor- and client-facing materials including investment proposals, economic and market summaries, performance reports, and financial plans. - Conduct various financing planning studies using selected financial planning systems. - Support consultants in preparing materials for advisor meetings, client reviews, and prospect engagements. - Ensure materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned with AssetMark's investment and planning frameworks. Operational & Team Support - Maintain organized workflows, CRM management, and documentation to maintain and improve team scalability and efficiency. - Collaborate with Sales, Investment, Advanced Planning, and Operations teams to ensure deliverables meet firm standards. - Contribute to team best practices, process improvements, and training materials. Sales & Advisor Support - Leverage strong interpersonal skills to contribute to the growth of the Private Wealth business and deepen relationships with financial advisors. - Serve as a key relationship point of contact for advisors working with high-net-worth and affluent clients on the AssetMark platform. - Partner closely with the Private Wealth Consultant, sales teams, and Investment/Planning teams to deliver high-touch service and support the success of our advisors and their high-net-worth clients. - Support advisor engagement efforts through proactive outreach, coordination of materials, and assistance with Private Wealth initiatives and campaigns. Role Requirements Experience & Education - 2-5 years of experience in investments, wealth management, financial planning, asset management, or consulting. - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field desired. - Progress toward CFA, CFP, CAIA, or similar designation preferred. Professional Skills - Client-service oriented with a strong commitment to delivering a high-quality advisor experience. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with advisors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional partners. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a matrixed organization with consultants, sales teams, and investment professionals. - High integrity and commitment to compliance and fiduciary standards. Technical & Analytical Skills - Proficiency in MS Office suite - Familiarity with portfolio analytics platforms (e.g., Morningstar, FactSet, Bloomberg, eVestment, Zephyr, BlackRock Aladdin, or similar) is a plus. Key Success Metrics - Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of portfolio and proposal deliverables. - Consultant productivity. - Advisor satisfaction with analytical support and materials. - Progression of technical expertise and contribution to team process improvement. Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $90,000-$105,000. This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. This includes analyzing policy developments, transmission business practices, and technical requirements that influence PGE's ability to secure transmission service and advance its long-term resource strategy. Because transmission strategy intersects with generation development, regulatory policy, resource planning, and system operations, the role requires significant cross-functional collaboration across the organization to ensure alignment between PGE's transmission access strategy and broader company objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Transmission Strategy Analysis - Support development and execution of PGE's merchant transmission and regional transmission strategy through technical, economic, and policy analysis. - Evaluate transmission projects, capacity rights opportunities, and regional grid expansion initiatives to determine their potential value for PGE and its customers. - Conduct analysis related to congestion, transmission availability, resource deliverability, and market access to inform strategic investment and contracting decisions. - Develop internal analyses and recommendations regarding transmission rights acquisition, project participation, and partnership opportunities.
