The Accounts Payable Entry department at Shared Services handles the entry of vendor invoices, in preparation for vendor payment. The Accounts Payable Coordinator enters vendor invoices, matches invoices to purchase orders, and calculates payment terms. This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid for associates in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy. Role and Responsibilities: - Ensure invoice images and supporting documents are accurate - Enter invoice details into Ferguson’s ERP by using accounts payable 3-way match process - Investigate and resolve problems and inquiries - Ability to identify different accounting document types - Assist with other Ad Hoc Accounts Payable duties - Calculate and apply accurate payment terms to vendor invoice entries - Accurately bill customers for products and services - Advanced problem-solving concerning unit of measure differences and other research as necessary - Review entries for duplication - Interact with outside vendors to ensure accurate processing of invoices - Maintain consistency of adherence to accounts payable policies and goals - Provide elevated levels of support at Month End as well as Year End - Provide unparalleled customer service to both internal and external customers - Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company - Work in a collaborative manner within Accounts Payable and other Ferguson departments. - Participate in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management - Represent the company in a professional manner, ensuring quality customer service - Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures Qualifications: - Accounts Payable, procurement (P2P) or other financial experience required - Understanding of accounting concepts through course-work or relevant experience - Experience with inventory cycle count and/or receiving and shipping discrepancy resolution - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with measured performance metrics - Proficient computer skills, including 10-key, with keen attention to detail in a structured, paperless work environment - Ability to recall information needed for quick decision-making and critical thinking - Ability to organize and prioritize work, adjusting in accordance with job objectives - Demonstrate Microsoft Office software skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) At Ferguson, we care for each other.
