Senior Full Stack Engineer
Claritas Rx
Who We Are Claritas Rx is a venture-backed digital health startup that brings clarity to the challenges of specialty biopharmaceutical products in the marketplace. In today’s highly complex specialty networks, our mission is to illuminate the patient experience beyond the clinical trial. Claritas Rx leverages a proprietary technology platform and deep manufacturer expertise to automate and integrate channel, commercial, and clinical data and help biopharmaceutical companies generate actionable business insights. Our work uncovers the real-world variables impacting patient access, duration of therapy, and other metrics key to commercial success, making a real impact on patient healthcare. The Position We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Management Apps team. You'll report to the Software Engineering Manager and work across the entire stack, building APIs and services on the backend while shipping polished, user-facing features on the frontend. This isn't a backend role with occasional frontend work or vice-versa. You'll be expected to move fluidly between both. This is a high-ownership role. You'll partner with Product Management, Architects, and engineers across teams to ship features that give biotech and pharmaceutical companies actionable clinical and business insights. Someone who doesn't just write code but shapes technical direction. Our Stack - TypeScript across the entire codebase - Backend: NestJS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL, AWS DynamoDB, Zod - Frontend: React 19, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, TanStack Query, Zustand, React Hook Form - Infrastructure: AWS (CDK, ECS, EC2, Aurora RDS, Cognito, S3, SES, SQS, EventBridge, Lambda, Secrets Manager) - Tooling: Turborepo, pnpm, ESLint, Prettier, Swagger/OpenAPI, Github Actions (status checks / deployments) - Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Testcontainers - Integrations: Twilio, Tableau, Novu - Monitoring & Observability: Sentry, CloudWatch, OpenFeature (feature flags) Responsibilities - Design and build APIs and services in our NestJS/TypeScript backend, including domain modeling, schema design, and service architecture. - Build and iterate on user-facing features in our React/TypeScript frontend, turning wireframes and product requirements into production UI. - Own features end-to-end: from understanding the problem with Product, through implementation on both sides of the stack, to production observability. - Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and maintainable software by implementing comprehensive automated testing across the full stack (frontend, backend, and integration layers) - Work within our AWS infrastructure and make informed decisions about service boundaries and cloud-native patterns. - Proactively identify and resolve production issues. You care about system health, not just shipping. - Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and architectural guidance. Who You Are Requirement Skills: - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, building web based, multi-tenant, commercial applications - Strong engineering skills across the full stack in TypeScript. You've built and operated production-grade services and shipped production-grade UIs that real users depend on. - Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), including schema design, query optimization, and migrations. - Proven ability to build effective UI in a modern React/TypeScript codebase. You're comfortable with component architecture, state management, and working with design systems. - AWS experience building and deploying cloud-native applications. Familiarity with our specific services (CDK, Cognito, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3) is a plus. - Ability to navigate and debug across multiple layers of the stack (UI, services, databases, ETL pipelines) - You've worked in a monorepo or multi-service architecture and understand the tradeoffs. - You've shipped SaaS products and understand what it means to operate software, not just deploy it. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical decisions and collaborate effectively across teams. - You're comfortable with ambiguity and can make progress without perfect requirements. Preferred Skills: - Healthcare domain experience or familiarity with HIPAA/SOC/HITRUST compliance requirements. - Experience with infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK, Tofu, Terraform, etc.). - Experience leveraging AI tools like Claude to accelerate development workflows, automate repetitive engineering tasks, or integrate LLM capabilities into product features. - You've been through hypergrowth at a startup and know what that demands. Join Us We are seeking to add new expertise and perspective to our strong team of experienced professionals. We aspire to a culture of accelerated professional development through shared learning and collaboration; a respectful and fun work environment; and employee empowerment through the effective use of technology and tools. We are a highly collaborative team and prioritize opportunities to connect in person. For employees within a reasonable driving distance of each other, we host regional town hall gatherings approximately every other month. These sessions give our teams a chance to come together, share updates, and strengthen relationships beyond day-to-day work. In addition to our great environment, we offer a salary of between $140,000 and $160,000 and benefits package and the opportunity to make a significant impact on a first-in-industry digital health solution. Please send a cover letter along with your resume when applying to the position of interest. Claritas Rx embraces diversity, equality, and transparency.
