Job Description

Director, Coding Quality

HURC Healthcare Solutions

• Lead coding quality assurance (QA) specialists (auditors) • Audit and code various service types including Facility Inpatient, Emergency Room, Outpatient surgery, etc. • Collaborate with the Coding Department on coding audits and training • Maintain compliance with established standards, rules, and regulations • Direct and manage plans for effective team operations and evaluations • Monitor and evaluate work of the coding QA team for data and coding quality

Job Requirements

  • Ten or more years of production coding experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ professional coding experience in physician practices
  • Three to five (5) years management experience
  • Training and mentoring experience
  • Must have one of the following Coding Certifications : Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC); Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
  • RHIT or RHIA with coding experience.
