Life Science Batch Engineer - DeltaV/Plant Pax

Role Description We are seeking a Life Science Batch Engineer - DeltaV/Plant Pax (proposals focus) to be responsible for initial consultation with the customer, as well as estimating and proposal development for industrial automation solutions including food & beverage, life sciences, and chemical industries. The projects span the range of process control and machine control automation applications. You will also own and develop methods, tools, and processes in estimating and proposal development for the entire enterprise. Location: Remote with 25% travel expectation - Meet with customers to review technical scope and engineering requirements for Life Sciences automation projects, working closely with Business Development Managers during the sales pursuit process. - Serve as a technical authority during estimating and proposal development for projects utilizing Rockwell Automation PlantPAx DCS and Emerson DeltaV DCS platforms. - Prepare work to be estimated by gathering and analyzing URS/FRS, control narratives, P&IDs, blueprints, specifications, and RFQ/RFP documentation. - Independently quote control panel, PLC, HMI, and DCS-based automation projects, including PlantPAx and DeltaV systems. - Develop high-level system architectures and conceptual designs for PlantPAx and DeltaV. - Incorporate life sciences–specific requirements into estimates, including validation, documentation, cybersecurity, and data integrity. - Accurately compute costs including engineering effort, hardware, software, licensing, and subcontractors. - Evaluate migrations, expansions, and upgrades from legacy PLC or DCS systems. - Present estimates to internal leadership and customers using clear technical narratives. - Travel up to 25% to customer sites. - Be an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of industrial automation experience with PlantPAx and DeltaV. - Experience delivering and deploying DCS-based projects in regulated Life Sciences environments. - Strong knowledge of PlantPAx and DeltaV architectures. - Understanding of ERP and project costing systems. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork. Requirements - Experience in Food & Beverage, Aggregates, or Data Centers. - Experience with DeltaV Batch, PlantPAx Process Objects, and ISA-88. - Vendor certifications from Rockwell Automation or Emerson. - PMP, CAP, or other professional certifications.
