Community Engagement Manager
Mozilla
• Lead efforts across Reddit, acting as Mozilla’s voice in influential subreddits. • Drive organic engagement through thoughtful participation, not brand pushing. • Develop and own an organic Reddit strategy; spot trends early and make engagement recommendations. • Navigate moderation ecosystems with care, track and report performance. • Build relationships with key Redditors and moderators. • Create content that resonates with technology, privacy, and open web communities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in product communications, developer relations, community strategy, or tech influencer marketing.
- Proven ability to participate authentically and effectively on Reddit and other tech-native platforms.
- Deep understanding of how influence flows through tech communities, and how to meet those communities with the right tone and timing.
- Skilled at translating product and technical language into community-friendly narratives that resonate across forums and social spaces.
- Direct experience engaging with developers, open-source contributors, or privacy-minded user communities.
- Strong writer who can craft engaging Reddit posts and comments in Mozilla’s voice.
- Proficiency with Reddit analytics, UTM tagging, and other performance-tracking tools to assess engagement and impact.
- Comfortable operating autonomously while also collaborating across functions—especially with PR, Product, Legal, Marketing, and Brand teams.
- Familiar with moderation systems, content guidelines, and reputation management in online forums and communities.

The Engagement Specialist is responsible for fostering connection, commitment, and retention across JerseySTEM’s volunteer community.
