• Lead the design and implementation of complex services and cross-team initiatives within the DNS platform. • Own technical design for major features and platform enhancements, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. • Contribute hands-on to implementation, particularly in high-risk or technically challenging areas. • Participate in and contribute to architecture reviews, RFCs, and design discussions, driving high-quality technical outcomes. • Collaborate with Architects to ensure alignment with platform standards and long-term direction. • Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies to reduce delivery and operational risk. • Improve system observability, performance, and operational readiness across owned services. • Drive improvements in code quality, testing standards, CI/CD practices, and deployment reliability. • Mentor Senior and Mid-level Engineers, providing guidance on system design, debugging, and production excellence. • Serve as a technical escalation point during major incidents related to owned systems.

• Build and scale the systems behind our universal search platform that powers fast, accurate, and secure access to critical data across our RMS, CAD, and analytics products. • Work on distributed systems, real-time data indexing, and modern search technologies to support life-saving decision making for our public safety users.

• Design, implement, and maintain StackOS, Stack AV's vehicle operating system, ensuring it meets the reliability and performance demands of a safety-critical autonomy platform. • Drive the architecture and implementation of the onboard portion of Deploy Manager, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient software delivery to the vehicle. • Proactively work with internal customers to design & implement new features from ideation to deployment. • Automate processes related to assembling new self-driving vehicles from-scratch, and updating their software on an ongoing basis. • Continually identify opportunities for improving the performance, reliability, and usability of StackOS and Deploy, evaluating tradeoffs amongst multiple options. • Partner with safety and validation teams to ensure StackOS and Deploy Manager meet functional safety requirements. • Ensure delivery of high quality software through the principled and consistent use of best practices including robust automated testing, manual and automated code review.

• Own the long-term vision and implementation of core data models and internal API architecture. • Lead the charge on defining next-generation data architecture to support new product lines and business models. • Architect choices that unlock velocity across teams, ensuring secure, reliable, and repeatable patterns. • Teach modern best practices for systems design, API architecture, automated testing, observability, and security. • Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical design sessions, elevating the skills of the team. • Improve engineering velocity by designing and rolling out a new, standardized API layer and automated testing practices.
