Role Description The Audit Analytics Associate supports Internal Audit and 2nd line Risk Management by using data, analytics, and automation to identify risk signals, improve control assurance, and make testing smarter and more continuous. This role partners with internal audit and risk stakeholders to translate information into data-driven insights, develop repeatable analytics, and support audit/risk assessments with evidence-based analysis. This is an early-career role designed for someone who enjoys working with datasets, dashboards, process data, and emerging AI-enabled approaches. Responsibilities - Support the planning and execution of audits by performing data-enabled testing, including population analysis, exception identification, and trend/outlier detection/emerging risk patterns. - Assist with walkthroughs, control testing, and documentation (process narratives, risk/control matrices, and workpapers), incorporating data evidence. - Develop and maintain audit analytics routines (e.g., recurring tests for key controls) to improve coverage, efficiency, and consistency. - Contribute to clear, concise audit observations and reporting materials with data-backed conclusions and visuals, translating data patterns into risk/control implications. - Help monitor remediation progress by validating corrective actions using metrics and follow-up testing. - Assist with risk assessments (inherent/residual risk scoring, control effectiveness inputs). - Support risk monitoring and reporting by producing dashboards and recurring risk metrics. - Participate in team initiatives (methodology improvements, analytics library creation, training, and knowledge sharing). - Help identify opportunities to automate manual work (e.g., control testing, reconciliations, sampling) using workflow tools, scripts, or low-code solutions. - Follow audit/risk standards for workpaper quality, evidence retention, confidentiality, and independence. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field). - Minimum 2 years of experience in internal audit. - Demonstrated ability to work with data: data cleaning, validation, analysis, and summarizing findings. - Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills; comfortable producing audit-ready evidence. - Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications - Financial services industry preferred but not required. - Analytical thinking: Spots patterns, asks good questions, and tests hypotheses. - Risk mindset: Connects observations to risk impact and control effectiveness. - Learns tools quickly and adapts methods to new datasets. You will have a critical role in working with the Clinical Solutions and Education business units to provide clinical analytics support and drive growth, revenue generation, and innovation. About the team. This team is entrusted with the validation of extracted medical information from Elsevier corpus and electronic health care records, information retrieval, creating data for gold set generation, and participating in content enrichment workflows aiding in clinical decision support. Experience - Clinical degree required (MD, MBBS,GP) Preference given to those with formal training or significant experience in evidence-based medicine, clinical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, and the application of evidence to practice. - Experience in semantic technologies, including text mining, ontology management is a plus. - Excellent command of the English language in both spoken and written forms is required and some level of proficiency with another language is a plus. - Experience with medical vocabularies such as SNOMED CT and ICD-10 is beneficial, as is knowledge of ontology modeling. - Extensive computer skill competency. Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment; and strong MS Word/Powerpoint skills and ability to work with templates using an electronic content management system.
