We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a deep understanding of Software-Defined Access (SDA) technology to join our Siemens Healthineers IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in implementing, administering, maintaining and solution designing complex enterprise network deployments with a focus on modern SDN technologies. This is a remote role anywhere in the US and Canada with less than 25% travel requirements. Tasks and responsibilities: - Lead the development and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure network solutions based on Cisco SDA and other SDN-based infrastructure. - Collaborate with internal teams to operate, adjust, and optimize policy-based automation and segmentation across the network. - Provide strategic guidance on network transformation projects, including adoption of SDA, automation, and security architectures. - Analyze network traffic, performance metrics, and make proactive adjustments to improve system stability and reliability. - Ensure network implementations and configurations comply with design and industry best practices, security policies, and regulatory requirements. - Serve as escalation points for operational teams, with strong troubleshooting skills drive resolution of incidents. - Provide network SME operational break/fix support for Priority 1/Major service outages. - Provide regular status reports, project updates, and network health reports to management. - Mentor and develop junior network engineers and administrators. - Stay up-to-date with the latest networking trends and technologies, particularly those around SD-WAN, SDA, SDN, and automation.   Qualifications and experience: - Minimum of 8+ years in network engineering and solution designing, with a focus on enterprise-level networking solutions. - Strong hands-on experience with Cisco SDA technology, including Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst switches, and Cisco Wireless LAN controllers. - Deep knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), network automation, and network security. - Proficient in network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, LISP, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN. - Experience with network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and policy-driven networks. - Experience with Cisco SDA, Cisco Meraki, VMware NSX, or other SD-WAN and SDN technologies. - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) with a focus on enterprise networks or network design (preferably with a focus on SDA). Cisco DNA Center, SD-WAN, or SD-Access certification is a plus. - Familiarity with cloud-based networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid networking solutions and automation tools like Ansible, Python, or SaltStack for network management and orchestration. - Knowledge of cloud-native networking and integration with hybrid cloud environments. The base pay range for this position is: $119,920 - $164,890 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Telephony Engineer to join our team and lead the design, integration, and management of enterprise-grade telephony and contact center solutions. You’ll work across platforms like NICE CXone, RingCentral, Genesys , and others to ensure seamless voice infrastructure and world-class communication experiences for both customers and internal teams. - Design, implement, and maintain telephony infrastructure, including cloud-based and hybrid voice systems. - Lead the integration of telephony platforms (NICE CXone, RingCentral, Genesys, etc.) with internal tools, CRMs, and workflow systems. - Optimize call flows, IVRs, routing logic, and contact center performance metrics. - Collaborate with IT, support, and engineering teams to ensure alignment between voice systems and business processes. - Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for troubleshooting and issue resolution across telephony platforms. - Manage vendor relationships and monitor service performance, SLAs, and escalations. - Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security standards. - Create and maintain documentation on infrastructure, integrations, and procedures. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in telephony engineering or voice infrastructure roles. - Strong hands-on experience with NICE CXone, RingCentral, Genesys Cloud, or similar platforms. - Deep understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP), call routing, PBX systems, and contact center technologies. - Experience with system integration via APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms (e.g., Zapier, MuleSoft). - Comfortable with scripting or automation tools (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for voice workflows or monitoring. - Strong troubleshooting skills across networks, voice quality issues, and platform interoperability. - Experience working in enterprise environments with high availability and scalability needs. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
