• Build and improve features across our Ruby on Rails + React stack • Work with product and design to turn requirements into working features • Write clean, maintainable code and learn best practices around testing • Help debug issues and improve performance over time • Participate in code reviews and team discussions • Learn how we deploy and operate the platform (Docker, cloud infrastructure)

• Design and maintain database schemas that can accommodate unstructured and semi-structured data. • Ensure data structures support downstream querying, transformation, and application-layer access. • Balance flexibility with performance, consistency, and long-term maintainability. • Support data ingestion workflows using industry-standard tools. • Help design pipelines that move data from raw ingestion through structured and marked-up states. • Collaborate with data and analytics team members to ensure ingestion outputs align with analytical needs. • Work with transformation and modeling tools to support data markup, enrichment, and organization. • Ensure transformed datasets are reliable, well-documented, and reusable. • Help establish best practices around versioning, dependencies, and data lineage. • Partner with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to support analytical and AI-oriented use cases. • Provide guidance on database best practices to junior technical team members. • Contribute to documentation and process clarity as systems evolve.
