Job Summary: This remote temporary Research Assistant position is responsible for updating directory databases in preparation for publishing Tennessee Attorneys Directory, Tennessee Government Officials Directory and other directories, such as state specific Bankers Directories. This role is from 4/6/2026 to 8/7/2026. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Update data from returned surveys that were sent to those listed in the directories - Make phone calls and send emails to those who don’t return their surveys in order to update their records - Use research tools like internet search engines, websites such as whitepages.com and directory assistance to develop leads on attorneys who have left their jobs without leaving a forwarding address - Send faxes or emails to various offices that request them Additional Responsibilities: - Additional duties as assigned Critical Competencies - Ownership & Execution - Demonstrates a sense of ownership to drive issues to closure, maximizes the use of existing processes while continuously pursuing ways to improve efficiencies, sets aggressive goals, monitors progress, and delivers results, seizes more opportunities than others - Collaboration & Teambuilding - Builds and maintains relationships to successfully work toward common strategic goals, creates strong morale and spirit, fosters open dialogue, creates a sense of unity among team - Manages Ambiguity & Change - Makes decisions with available information that align with strategy, embraces and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new initiatives, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty The Individual: - Strong data entry skills with attention to detail - Solid computer skills - Excellent verbal communication skills with good telephone demeanor Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Background in the legal field is a plus All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status. Role Description Westat has an immediate opening for a Senior Research Associate conducting healthcare analytics, statistical programming, reporting, and task management. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team on a variety of health services research projects focused on health care delivery, payment, and policy. While this position is remote eligible, onsite collaboration is highly valued.
