Come join us! Reports to: Senior Director, Deal Desk & User Operation About the Team: The Revenue Operations team at AlphaSense drives productivity and improves efficiency for our Account Executives, Account Managers, and Sales Development Reps. We build the reporting, analytics, systems, and processes that power execution and enable strategic initiatives across the organization. At our core, we are a dynamic team of operators and systems thinkers who are passionate about our craft. We strive to be best-in-class in our disciplines and to build the next generation of GTM revenue processes. We thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and take pride in turning complexity into clarity and impact. About the Role: The Contract Manager, Revenue Operations is the hands‑on owner of the commercial side of our customer contracting process. This role sits within the Deal Desk team and is responsible for first‑line intake, triage, and execution of customer commercial contract and order form changes that can and should be resolved without Legal resources, accelerating deals while maintaining strong commercial and data integrity. You will own the commercial side of our customer contracts, ensuring that billing terms, dates, discounts, price caps, ramps, and usage structures are captured in a way that systems can support at scale, including a clear separation between commercial order details and core legal terms. Your focus is on making commercial mechanics precise, bookable, and system‑ready (not on drafting new legal concepts). Who You Are: - 7+ years of experience in SaaS, ideally through high-growth and $600M+ ARR scale; you’ve seen what “broken” looks like and have experience fixing it. - Systems Thinker: You think in terms of efficiency, workflow, objects, fields, and triggers. High proficiency in the Salesforce/CPQ/Ironclad ecosystem is a must. - Builder mindset: a proven track record of taking manual, human‑powered processes and turning them into documented, automated workflows. - Commercial Fluency: Deep understanding of the "why" behind subscription models (usage, seat-based, ramp deals, and price caps) rather than just the "how" of data entry. - Law-Adjacent Expertise: Understand risk tradeoffs and how to follow/build legal playbooks, but you operate as a process engineer, not a drafter. What You’ll Do: - Contract Intake, Triage, and Execution - Own day-to-day intake, triage, and routing of customer contract requests in Ironclad, ensuring they are properly tagged, prioritized, and progressed - Review commercial redlines and resolve standard contract changes that can be handled without Legal involvement - Escalate complex or legal-risk issues to Legal when appropriate - Monitor contract status and key deal milestones, proactively driving deals toward signature—especially during high-volume periods and quarter-end - Help reduce overall request-to-signature cycle time by ensuring contracts move efficiently through the process - Clause Library & Legal Playbook Execution - Partner with Legal to translate recurring contract requests into standardized, pre-approved clauses - Help operationalize legal playbooks so RevOps can handle common commercial contract changes without requiring individual Legal review - Identify repeat requests that can be standardized and incorporated into the clause library - Contract Data Integrity & Downstream Readiness - Ensure commercial contract terms (billing terms, pricing, ramps, usage structures, dates, price caps) are accurately captured and system-ready - Maintain reliable contract metadata across Ironclad and Salesforce so downstream teams can trust contract data - Support Finance, Billing, and Customer Success by ensuring contract details are complete, consistent, and operationally sound - Systems & Workflow Ownership (Ironclad / CPQ / Salesforce) - Serve as a key operational partner for Ironclad, helping define requirements and workflows that support contracting operations - Collaborate with RevOps Systems teams to ensure Salesforce and CPQ workflows support real-world deal structures - Validate that system updates or workflow changes do not compromise contract data integrity or order form accuracy - Analytics, Guardrails, and Continuous Improvement - Analyze contracting workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve deal velocity - Track operational metrics such as request volume, turnaround time, and escalation patterns - Help design operational guidelines that clarify which contract requests can be handled by Sales, RevOps, or Legal What You Won't Do: - Negotiate contracts directly with customers or participate in live redlining discussions with counterparties - Draft new legal language or modify core terms and conditions - Make legal risk determinations or provide legal interpretation of contract terms - Own complex contract negotiations or legal strategy for agreements - Serve as the primary Salesforce or CPQ system administrator responsible for technical configuration For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables.
