Role Description The A Healthier Democracy (AHD) Strategy and Operations Intern will work directly with the Interim CEO to advance critical organizational priorities essential to our growth and sustainability. This role is designed for strategic thinkers interested in social impact, innovation, and mission-driven revenue models. The intern will support special projects focused on organizational sustainability, including building earned revenue approaches and optimizing AHD’s operating model compared to peer organizations. This is a remote position, with the expectation to travel once during the summer. Please note: A Healthier Democracy will offer a stipend to partially compensate for this internship, but candidates are expected to secure additional funding from their institution. AHD will work with you to ensure total compensation for this position is at least $20.00/hour (consistent with recent fall internship rates). Duties and Responsibilities - You will lead a dynamic project portfolio, supporting the CEO with high-priority initiatives instrumental to AHD’s long-term success. Core projects include: - Organizational Sustainability: Support the development of earned revenue and revenue diversification approaches for our flagship programs, Link Health and Vot-ER. - Operating Model Evaluation: Analyze AHD’s current operating model against peer organizations and best practices, recommending improvements to streamline operations and enhance scalability. - Program Optimization: Identify areas for improvement within current programming, leveraging technology and behavioral science to increase efficacy for patients and healthcare providers. - Special CEO Projects: Provide ad-hoc strategic and project management support for emerging organizational priorities.
