• Drive platform reliability and operational excellence by designing and implementing deployment pipelines, SLO frameworks, observability tooling, performance improvements, and AI-enabled incident response automation that help maintain Viaduct's 99.99% uptime target across Airbnb's critical API traffic. • Contribute to runtime resiliency initiatives including resource attribution, performance regression testing, and proactive monitoring to ensure the multi-tenant GraphQL platform scales efficiently and degrades gracefully under load. • Architect and deliver AI-powered operational tooling that accelerates incident triage, reduces mean-time-to-mitigation, and empowers both the Viaduct team and tenant engineers with self-service debugging capabilities. • Shape the future of Viaduct Modern by contributing to the next-generation architecture, improving developer experience for hundreds of engineers, and establishing patterns that will be shared with the open-source community.

• Design and build distributed systems that process, enrich, and respond to billions of behavioral events per day in real time • Develop high-performance APIs and services that support advertising, identity, and intent features across the Marketing Platform • Leverage machine learning and large language models (LLMs) to analyze behavioral data, classify content, extract signals, and enable intelligent decision-making • Build intelligent agents using frameworks like LangGraph or MCP to reason over data and power user-facing insights • Design and operate data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Kinesis, and ClickHouse to support both streaming and batch workloads • Drive quality, performance, scalability, and observability across all systems you own • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver customer-facing features and internal tooling • Contribute to technical leadership and mentorship of teammates.

• Ensure the health and stability of NPR environments, performing troubleshooting of systemic, infrastructure, and information security failures • Implement new components and services through coding, ensuring high performance and system stability • Analyze, identify, and implement improvements in development (TST) and homologation/staging (HML) environments • Work on prevention and prediction of systemic failures • Support development teams in resolving incidents, problems, and changes, acting directly on outages and failures • Coordinate solutions with other teams (Development, QA, and Business) and define testing strategies • Report systemic failures and develop action plans for continuous system improvement • Actively participate in code reviews and the implementation of unit tests (JUnit) • Ensure software engineering best practices, acting as a Technical Lead (TL)
