Role Description As a Project Archaeologist, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - The completion of SHPO file reviews cultural resources including archaeological resources and built environment resources - Unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys - Construction monitoring - Authoring of reports for section 106 compliance to SHPO and THPO standards - Travel to project sites may include overnight stays. Overall travel requirements average about 2 days a week. Qualifications - Demonstrated additional experience sufficient to satisfy Secretary of Interior (SOI) qualifications for Archaeologist - 2 years of field experience and applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), with preference given to candidates with experience supporting telecommunications projects - Demonstrated experience in conducting background research and completing technical reports in fulfillment of Section 106 requirements and to SHPO/THPO standards - Experience holding and fulfilling antiquities permits - Capable of field work including shovel testing and pedestrian survey in various field and weather conditions - Ability and willingness to travel (travel typically not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time) - Flexible and adaptable to fast changing projects - Good computer skills particularly using the Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel) as well as Google Earth. Job Requirements

Provides additional support for the Transplant center’s Paired Exchange Programs which includes adding/updating HLA typing, pulling waitlist for donors, and completing virtual crossmatches when requested. Completing TIEDI donor and recipient data for UNOS. Adheres to standards of external regulatory bodies including ABHI, CAP, and CLIA. Understands principles of histocompatibility and immunogenetics. Works independently and with other HLA laboratory staff including Analysts and other management staff; readily adapts to changes in work environment; performs multiple tasks simultaneously. Communicates effectively with others. Participates in continuing education; demonstrates initiative in accomplishing the goals of the laboratory. Key Responsibilities: - UNOS Support: Review that patient HLA typing is logged into UNOS correctly. Add in unacceptable antigens (avoids) as stated in the transplant program’s joint written agreements. Ensure that the data on listing forms matches what entered in ClinImmune’s electronic record keeping database (i.e., HLALM or mTilda). Complete recipient and donor TIEDI forms. Clearly communicate with transplant coordinators as needed. - Paired Exchange Support (NKR and APKD): Review that patient HLA typing is logged into paired exchange database correctly. Add in unacceptable antigens (avoids) as stated in the transplant center’s joint written agreements. Run kidney offer lists for transplant programs when requested. Perform virtual crossmatches for transplant programs when requested and reports results accurately and concisely communicates them as needed. Clearly communicate with transplant coordinators as needed. - Quality Assurance: Actively participates in quality assurance program. Reviews procedure manual at least biannually and new or revised protocols as they are established. Participates in and/or presents continuing education activities, including annual re-training in laboratory safety issues in handling bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, hazardous wastes and fire. Works with the quality unit to revise SOPs and report errors. - Additional Duties & Responsibilities: Follows all established policies and protocols related to result review, reporting and quality control.
