Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Jr. Simulation Consultant to assist in developing simulation-based solutions for manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and service systems (e.g. healthcare) analysis projects at customer sites in North America and other global locations. This position will be fully remote. What you will do In the performance of his/her respective tasks and duties, simulation consultants are expected to conform to the following: - Perform quality work within deadlines, with or without direct supervision. - Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and vendors. - Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. - Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks: - Develop simulation-based solutions for manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and service systems (e.g. healthcare) analysis projects at customer sites in North America and other global locations. - Conduct customer training sessions on the use of ProModel simulation products. - Support the ProModel sales team in key sales opportunities, tradeshows, technical seminars and workshops, and other speaking opportunities. What you need to have - B.S. or M.S. degree in Systems & Industrial Engineering or a related engineering or computer science field. - Minimum 0-3 years working in a manufacturing or process-improvement-related environment. Applicable intern or co-op experience will be considered. - Industry or academic experience with ProModel and/or Process Simulator simulation software in a manufacturing or process-improvement-related environment. (Experience with other discrete-event simulation or object-oriented software products will be considered in place of experience with ProModel and/or Process Simulator software.) - S. Citizen or authorization to work legally in the U.S. What we'd like you to have - Candidates with relevant, in-depth simulation experience (i.e. turnkey projects) will be given preference. - Experience with C#, python, or other object-oriented software is a plus.
