Job Description
Automation Engineer
Tidal Financial Group
• Build and maintain integrations between SaaS platforms (Notion, Slack, monday.com , HubSpot, Snowflake, etc.) using Python and REST/GraphQL APIs • Design and implement automated workflows for business processes — intake forms, notification systems, data syncing, status tracking, approvals • Build and manage databases and structured workflows in tools like Notion to replace ad-hoc spreadsheets and email-based processes • Write clean, maintainable Python scripts and services; deploy and monitor them in production • Work directly with business stakeholders to scope automation opportunities, gather requirements, and iterate on solutions • Document integrations, workflows, and runbooks so the team can maintain and extend what you build • Identify and flag opportunities to use AI (e.g., Claude API) to enhance automations where it adds clear value
Job Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a software engineering, automation, or integrations-focused role
- Strong Python skills — you write production code, not just scripts
- Hands-on experience integrating SaaS platforms via APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks)
- Comfort working with databases (SQL) and data formats (JSON, CSV)
- Experience with at least one workflow/automation platform (n8n, Zapier, Make, Power Automate, or similar) — we care more about your ability to learn tools quickly than loyalty to a specific one
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and translate business problems into technical solutions
- Self-directed work style — you manage your own priorities and surface blockers early.
