By combining deep industry expertise, leading technology, and proven best practices, we automate and improve complex middle- and back-office processes while enhancing the overall customer experienc Essential Job Functions: - Lead and manage a team of application support engineers responsible for maintaining and supporting critical insurance platforms and applications. - Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems through proactive monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, infrastructure, product, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and support business operations. - Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to team members, supporting their professional growth and development. - Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes in alignment with ITIL best practices. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application stability, reduce incidents, and improve support processes. - Lead technical troubleshooting and escalation management for complex production issues impacting insurance applications. - Manage resource planning, support coverage, and operational priorities to ensure timely resolution of service requests and incidents. - Partner with development teams to support application releases, deployments, and production readiness. - Foster a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the support organization. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Typically 10+ years of relevant IT experience, with at least 4+ years in an application support leadership or management role. - Experience supporting enterprise applications within the insurance or financial services industry. - Strong knowledge of production support operations, incident management, and service management frameworks (ITIL). - Experience managing large-scale business-critical applications and production environments. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills. Other Qualifications: - Experience supporting policy administration, claims, billing, or other insurance core systems is preferred. - Familiarity with cloud environments, monitoring tools, and enterprise application architectures is a plus. - ITIL certification or relevant operational certifications are a plus. - Advanced degree in a related field is considered an advantage. Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $118,700 - $220,500. Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
