Role Description The Senior Technical Advisor, Strategic Supply Chain Risk & Warfighting Technology, provides expert operational and technical guidance to support the identification, assessment, and validation of mitigation strategies for risks across defense sustainment and modernization supply chains. This role ensures that proposed mitigations are technically feasible, industrially realistic, and executable under U.S. Government authorities. - Serve as the primary technical point of contact for government customers, leading discussions on supply chain risk findings, mitigation options, and execution pathways. - Engage regularly with executive-level stakeholders at the Department of War and Service headquarters. - Present complex technical, industrial, and analytical findings in a clear, authoritative manner suitable for executive decision-making. - Advise and validate supply chain risk mitigations by applying expert judgment on technical feasibility, industrial base capacity, operational relevance, and legal or policy authority. - Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Developers to guide the design, training, and validation of automated or semi-automated SCRM and mitigation workflows. - Assess and propose mitigation strategies affecting strategically decisive Department of War technologies. - Translate analytical outputs into actionable courses of action, explicitly identifying tradeoffs, timelines, authorities, and industrial constraints for senior leaders. Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive experience in defense, national security, industrial base analysis, acquisition, procurement, sustainment, or logistics. - Demonstrated experience engaging senior leaders or executive-level decision-makers within the Department of Defense. - Practical software and data engineering background (Python, SQL, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redshift). - Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor in high-consequence environments. - Experience serving as a senior customer-facing lead on complex defense or technology programs. - Active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level or higher. Requirements - Hands-on experience building and maintaining production analytics and data pipelines (ETL, SQL, Python). - Experience implementing model governance and adjudication workflows. - Familiarity with modern software practices (Git, CI/CD, containerization, RESTful APIs). - Ability to convert automated outputs into validated, executable mitigation plans. - Comfort operating at the strategic–operational seam, engaging executives while remaining grounded in technical and industrial realities. • Act as a consultant on multiple client engagements with limited direction • Understand client business requirements and provide guidance throughout design, configuration, and prototype; and assist clients with testing and move to production efforts • Partner with Engagement Managers to keep them informed of project status, changes, etc. • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts to ensure clear lines of communication and project alignment • Accurately maintain forecast in a timely manner • Partner with the Sales team and serve as a Subject Matter Expert while assisting with sales presentations, demos, and LOEs • Stay up to date on industry knowledge, Workday enhancements, and be able to advise on Workday best practices • Build strong relationships with clients, gained through trust and exceptional customer service
