Senior Product Manager (Payment Processing)

Role Description Design and build a payment processing platform from scratch: - Core payment flows - Transaction lifecycle - Routing logic - Retries, fallbacks, settlements - Refunds, chargebacks Define and own the end-to-end product vision for payment processing, from zero state to a scalable production system. Architect payment flows across multiple providers (PSPs, acquirers, banks), including: - Multi-PSP routing - MID management - Failover strategies Own the core gateway logic: - Authorization - Capture - Voids - Refunds - Recurring payments - Payouts - Callbacks/webhooks Work closely with engineering on system design decisions: - APIs - Data models - Idempotency - Reliability - Observability Translate business and compliance requirements into clear product and technical specifications. Job Requirements
- At least 4-5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in payments/fintech
- Proven hands-on experience building payment processing or payment gateway products from scratch (not only integrations or feature ownership - core processing logic is mandatory)
- Deep understanding of the payment transaction lifecycle: card payments, 3DS, authorization/clearing/settlement, PSP and acquirer integrations, routing, cascading, retries, failover
- Strong understanding of payment system architecture and how backend systems work
- Ability to work as a product owner with architectural thinking, not just requirements management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex, regulated environments
- High ownership mindset: able to independently drive decisions and outcomes
- Strong analytical, system-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- English level B2 or higher, fluent Russian
