Role Description As a Professional Learning Lead, you’ll lead, manage, and motivate a small team of District Partnership Specialists and Professional Learning Specialists. You’ll oversee professional development and district implementations across Texas, ensuring districts receive exceptional, consistent support that drives IXL usage and student growth. In addition to managing a small team, you’ll own a small number of district accounts yourself, working directly with districts to support their implementation and deliver professional development. This is a full-time remote position for candidates living in Texas. What You'll Be Doing - Stay informed on statewide initiatives impacting K-12 schools and districts within Texas, and ensure IXL implementations and professional development are aligned. - Create and maintain a positive culture that drives performance and outcomes. - Collaborate closely with the sales team to strategize and grow customer relationships in Texas. - Partner with district leaders in Texas to create and implement a professional development plan that supports a successful IXL implementation aligned to their goals. - Travel to support districts, provide professional development, and observe team members—up to 60% possible travel during back-to-school season and up to 40% the remainder of the year. - Regularly observe professional development and provide actionable feedback to your team. - Analyze and use data to drive decision-making and strategize next steps. Qualifications - BA/BS degree - 2+ years of experience leading a professional development team - K-12 teaching experience - An experienced people manager who fosters collaboration, builds a positive team culture, and helps others grow - Exceptional presentation skills; comfortable presenting to teachers and administrators - Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic, enthusiastic, upbeat individual who connects well with others and has a positive, collaborative attitude - Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, from start to finish - Self-starter and quick learner with a passion for improving education through technology - Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills - Must live close to a major airport
