Senior Software Engineer – DevOps

• Own end‑to‑end CI/CD workflows from commit to production (build, test, artifacting, deploy, verify, roll back), • Evolve 1‑Click deployment/provisioning to be reliable, auditable, and DR‑ready, • Implement progressive delivery patterns (blue/green, canary, feature flags) and automated deployment health checks, • Design and operate scalable, cost‑efficient build infrastructure (e.g., self‑hosted runners, caching, build acceleration), • Establish guardrails and policy as code (branch protection, required checks, RBAC, secrets, SLSA/SBOM, OPA), • Drive reliability via SLOs, runbooks, incident response, and post‑incident improvements, • Partner with teams to migrate/modernize workloads on Kubernetes and improve deployment ergonomics, • Instrument release pipelines with robust telemetry; make failure modes observable and actionable, • Eliminate developer toil via automation, templates, and golden examples, • Mentor engineers on release best practices, platform usage, and production readiness.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years building/operating CI/CD and Kubernetes‑based platforms in cloud environments,
- Strong in GitHub Actions (or equivalent), IaC (Terraform), and Kubernetes deployment patterns,
- Solid coding ability in Go or Python for platform automation/services,
- Deep understanding of release safety (progressive delivery, rollback strategy, verification gates),
- Experience with production observability and SLOs,
- Strong incident response and post‑incident improvement mindset,
- Excellent collaboration and enablement skills with product teams.
- Nice to have:
- Experience running self‑hosted runners at scale, ephemeral build infra, or remote caching,
- Supply chain security familiarity: SBOMs, SLSA levels, image signing, and provenance,
- DR/Resilience work (multi‑AZ, backup/restore, infra as code for DR),
- Cost/performance optimization of CI/CD at scale.

• Keeping XBOW’s production systems stable, observable, and resilient as the product scales. • Building and maintaining automated reliability tooling, covering monitoring, alerting, and self healing. • Defining and tracking service level goals for both production and development environments. • Close collaboration with infrastructure and feature teams to manage cloud systems through IaC. • Conducting root-cause investigations and incident analysis across the organization. • Helping maintain internal and customer-facing status dashboards that clearly communicate system health and uptime.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and ARM templates • Build CI/CD pipelines and automation with PowerShell and YAML • Manage Azure IaaS & PaaS resources efficiently • Configure Azure networking: App Gateways, Firewalls, API Management • Monitor infrastructure using Azure tools and third-party observability platforms • Implement OAuth2/OpenID Connect with Entra ID • Govern resources using Azure Policies • Design geo-redundant, highly available systems • Apply basic SQL in deployment and support tasks • Ensure infrastructure security, compliance (e.g., PCI DSS) • Optimize cloud costs using Azure Cost Management tools • OnCall availability (if needed) • Contribute to a collaborative team environment while working independently • Participate in Agile Scrum teams, continuously improving delivery pipelines
