Role Description The Technical Officer or Technical Manager (depending on experience) for Industrial Programs is a technical position within ACR providing support to the ACR Industrial Programs Director and Managing Director as well as other colleagues within the ACR team. - Contribute to most aspects of ACR services, including performing routine and increasingly complex project reviews accurately and independently. - Develop and maintain systems for project record keeping. - Attend site visits and perform audits. - Ensure that projects move through the Registry process efficiently and with appropriate attention to detail. - Provide technical support to external stakeholders, ensuring consistency and adherence to ACR, CARB, and Ecology requirements. - Possess and apply functional understanding of GHG emissions/carbon accounting principles. - Develop a detailed understanding of the ACR Standard and other ACR policies, California’s Cap-and-Trade Regulation, and Washington State’s Climate Commitment Act. - Need strong technical and analytical expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to track and adhere to deadlines. - Willingness and ability to learn on the job and work in a flexible, fast-paced environment. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental, natural, or physical sciences; engineering; GHG emissions accounting; or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. - Technical Officer: Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience required; additional years preferred. - Technical Manager: Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience required; additional years preferred. - Experience in, training in, and/or familiarity with GHG emissions/carbon accounting principles, verification and auditing standards, and at least one of the industrial sector project types. - Work experience with carbon markets or related environmental markets is desired. Requirements - Proficiency in SharePoint, Outlook, and full MS Office suite required. - Strong writing skills required. - Fluency in spoken and written English is required; fluency in one or more additional languages is an asset. - Must be available to travel for short-term assignments. - Strong technical and analytical expertise. - Excellent attention to detail. - Ability to track and adhere to deadlines and perform required reviews with speed, accuracy, and efficiency. - Ability to work independently on multiple projects at a time without sacrificing quality. - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Ability to consistently interact with others in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner. - Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and trustworthiness. Role Description This position will offer you the opportunity to manage project(s) consisting of engineers, designers, controls, and scheduling professionals involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing nuclear power plant modifications. - Coordinate with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of project execution. - Responsible for project execution and coordination of resources from each discipline as required. - Take ownership for all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience through the entire project lifecycle. - Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability; mentor and coach team members. - Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client task engineers and stakeholders. - Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget. - Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget, and other dashboard items. - Identify and control construction risk. - Recognize, identify, track, and control change. - Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors. - Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and Sargent & Lundy formats. - Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
