Role Description As an engineer on the District Dashboard team, you’ll primarily focus on accelerating the adoption of Clever's products by District Administrators. Our goal is to help them securely connect the data and applications they rely on to make digital learning work better for everyone while providing a best in class Clever experience for District Administrators. Additionally, the District Dashboard team owns Clever’s digital sales channel and the infrastructure powering digital sales and renewals with heavy collaboration with our product, marketing, operations, and success teammates. A DAY IN THE LIFE: - Collaborate with Product Management, Design and Marketing to research, design, and code major new features and enhancements that will best engage, educate, and delight educators. - Develop and lead new features spanning fast and intuitive UIs, Go Microservices, and REST APIs to give administrators access to their data, resources, and other district management tools. - Be an important part of Clever’s ecosystem of engineering excellence as we strive to create both the best possible customer experiences and top quality internal architectures across all of our products and initiatives. - Understand and prioritize the Clever engineering culture. - Participate in team on-call rotation. Shifts are one full week every ~7 weeks. Primarily working during business hours to respond to customer requests, but may require off hours incident responses. The Clever District Dashboard team works across the stack, including AWS Lambda, Dynamo, and RDS, to deliver products that are robust and delightful for students, educators, and application partners to use. Clever has a microservice container-based architecture and is hosted entirely in AWS. We use Go for backend services, with Node, TypeScript, and React for frontend services. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in any discipline. - Relevant coursework or equivalent self-study in programming, computer science, or a related technical field. - Knowledge or experience with JavaScript is required. - Demonstrated past projects (personal, academic, or professional) that showcase strong coding, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. - A desire to grow as an engineer through collaboration, code reviews, and learning new languages/technologies. - Excellent communication skills during team conversations, technical spec review, code review, and pairing sessions with teammates. - Commitment to inclusion and belonging. Salary Transparency The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $101,000 - $118,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between $111,000 - $130,000. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
