Role Description ChargePoint is seeking a quota-carrying Account Manager (Inside Sales) to own and grow a defined territory of named accounts. This role is primarily responsible for expanding existing mid-market customers through upsell, cross-sell, and multi-site deployment of EV charging hardware, software, and services. New customer acquisition is a secondary responsibility and will be driven primarily through channel partnerships, account mapping, and coordinated territory development efforts. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong account planning, consultative selling, and disciplined sales execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment — balancing strategic account growth with sales velocity — while working cross-functionally to deliver measurable customer and revenue outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Territory & Revenue Ownership - Own a designated territory with a named portfolio of mid-market accounts - Deliver against an assigned revenue quota, with primary emphasis on expansion within existing customers - Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify whitespace and long-term growth opportunities - Build and maintain strong pipeline coverage within your installed base - Existing Customer Expansion and New Customer Acquisition - Drive upsell, cross-sell, and multi-site expansion opportunities - Identify additional use cases across business units, properties, fleets, and regions - Lead consultative conversations around electrification strategy, sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure planning - Position integrated EV charging solutions (hardware, software, subscriptions, and services) tied to clear operational and financial ROI - Identify and pursue new logo opportunities within the assigned territory - Leverage channel partners, resellers, and strategic relationships to land new customers - Conduct account mapping to uncover partner-led introductions and adjacent opportunities - Collaborate with Channel and Sales leadership to drive coordinated go-to-market execution - Sales Execution & Discipline - Manage the full sales cycle from discovery and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close - Maintain strong CRM hygiene, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting - Partner cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Channel, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success - Lead commercial negotiations conversations - Replicate successful expansion and partner-led acquisition plays across similar customer segments Qualifications - 4+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience (Account Manager, Account Executive, or similar) - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets - Demonstrated success expanding existing customer accounts - Experience selling complex solutions, ideally including hardware, software, or infrastructure-based offerings - Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups - Experience operating within a territory-based sales model - Familiarity with channel or partner-led sales motions - Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business and financial ROI - Strong forecasting discipline and CRM proficiency - Experience in EV /energy, infrastructure, high-tech, or SaaS industries is a plus Location US - Remote Company Description We are committed to an inclusive and diverse team. Job Requirements
