Managing Consultant, Mainframe DB2

CDW

• Provide technical consultation, assist in proposal development, and support technical sales efforts • Act as a subject matter expert • Maintain strong client relationships • Lead design workshops for complex solutions • Develop and maintain customer-facing materials • Estimate effort for service engagements and contribute technical input • Design and oversee infrastructure upgrades • Provide 24x7 support for critical systems • Conduct expert-level throughput analysis, root cause analysis, and infrastructure planning • Provide technical assistance for Disaster Recovery exercises

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of IT engineering experience, including administration in z/OS, OR 11 total years of IT engineering experience with a minimum of 7 years in z/OS administration and IT engineering experience performing DB2 system management functions
  • Demonstrated experience installing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe software products from vendors such as IBM, Computer Associates, Compuware, and BMC
  • Proven ability to provide primary support for DB2, QMF, and related OEM software products, including fulfilling service requests for mainframe z/OS customers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Currently holds high-level certifications in primary technical areas of expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical knowledge with business direction to deliver customer-focused outcomes

Who You Are We're seeking a Los Angeles-based Safety Consultant to add to our LAMP team (Learning & Management Practice) and to serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, partnering with them to identify safety concerns, establish preparedness goals, and build programs that create safe, empowered communities. The Safety Consultant’s role is to teach, equip, and support clients in all things safety, as well as collaborating closely with the Division’s leadership and other Joffe consultants to ensure client concerns are met, and content and resources are developed. The ideal candidate will have a background working in or with K-12 schools as well as an extensive knowledge of emergency management and preparedness. Requirements Essential Responsibilities - Client Relations - Partner with the client’s leadership to identify safety concerns and goals.
