Role Description We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our backend systems and integrations that power Crewfare’s travel management platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions that enhance the user experience. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP. - Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality features. - Optimize database queries and backend performance for scalability and reliability. - Integrate with third-party APIs and internal systems. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices. Qualifications - Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). - Working hours overlapping with US Eastern Time. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development. - Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and secure coding practices. Requirements - Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, React, or WordPress. - Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2 and RDS. - Knowledge of frontend best practices and UI integration. - Exposure to CI/CD workflows and version control (Git).
