Director - Industry Advisor (MAE) The Industry Advisor (MAE focus) will be instrumental in taking the organization to the next level of performance, helping to scale the organization and its capabilities. This individual will have a deep understanding and experience in the Manufacturing, Automotive & Energy industries, partnering with GTM and Delivery to drive growth strategies around our key accounts. The Industry Advisor is responsible for driving cross-functional growth strategies and influencing both new logos and existing clients to show key performance indicators from their engagements with Coastal. Role Responsibilities: - Strong industry understanding, structured problem solving, strategic clarity, executive presence (verbal and written), and solutions to drive deliver growth - Represent Coastal at key industry events, identifying new growth opportunities and building relationships with key industry stakeholders - Act as the Voice of MAE to prospects, clients, and partners - Drive the conversation around Manufacturing Cloud and how AI-assisted forecasting reduces inventory waste. - Consult on "Shop Floor to Top Floor" data visibility projects, helping VPs of Ops justify digital investments via operational efficiency KPIs. - Responsible for supporting the scoping and estimating of programs and projects - Responsible for leading Advisory/True North engagements - Co-sell, grow, and manage strategic prospects - Develop competitive analyses designed to elevate Coastal’s brand against competitors - Educate and enable sales, pre-sales, and customer success teams specific to sub-verticals and influence Coastal’s POV - Partner cross-functionally on relevant content for events, marketing materials, and partnered GTM activities - Support market-ready solution direction & growth strategy execution - Engage with Salesforce RVPs and AEs to partner on new opportunities, drive new projects, and become a trusted partner. - Build GTM plays specifically for Clean Energy or Automotive OEM sub-verticals. - Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment. - Provide leadership, coaching, performance feedback and resources to associates - Be a clear and consistent communicator with the team and leadership - Work with your team to create estimates aligned with the customer requirements, expectations, and agreed upon deliverables. - Coach, mentor, and grow Market team members - Travel as needed to support the sales cycles to close business Experience/Skills Required: - 8+ years of consulting experience in delivery leadership relative to iterative software development, ideally Salesforce, in the MAE industry - 5+ years of Sales experience - Proven Portfolio Growth – you will be responsible for growing our Coastal customers - Deep industry expertise with a point of view of sub-verticals - Commitment to building long-term relationships with customers and winning business through trusted relationships - Consultative mindset and a dedication to learning in a dynamic environment - Understanding of and relationships within the Salesforce portfolio, along with newly acquired solutions such as Mulesoft, Tableau, Slack, etc. - Excellent communicator who can easily understand business requirements and think on their feet - Consistent record of building and running robust teams - Self-starter with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and high-pressure work environment - Strong customer orientation and results-driven leader - Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data for value-based discussions - Must have full-time permanent US work authorization - Note – Determination of Senior will be based upon the candidate's previous relevant experience and depth of skills, and will be determined through our skills interview process Additional Preferred Experience/Skills: - Experience leading digital transformation and large-scale change management efforts - Strong understanding of AI - Ability to engage and motivate teams - Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience Why Coastal, and what we offer: - Flexible working hours with an emphasis on a life-work balance (in that order!) - Fully remote work; “Live by the beach, work in the Cloud,” plus company office locations in Palm Coast, FL, Tyson’s Corner, VA & Lexington, KY - Unlimited Paid Time Off (RTO), 401K with Company Match, and Medical, Vision, & Dental coverage - Competitive quarterly and annual bonus opportunities - Continuing education and certification reimbursements, specifically within the Salesforce and Snowflake ecosystems; plus occasional in-house competitions with spot bonuses - A flexible and fun team culture!
