Director - Sales (TMT) We are looking for a Director – Sales (Technology, Media & Telecom focus) to accelerate our growth within the high-tech, media, and telecommunications sectors. This person will be responsible for building relationships with high-growth SaaS companies, media conglomerates, and telecom providers. You will collaborate with our Business Development and Delivery teams to solve the unique challenges of the subscription economy and digital service delivery. We are seeking candidates with exposure to the Salesforce delivery process (hands-on Salesforce consulting experience highly preferred) who can navigate the fast-paced, “fail-fast” culture of the tech world. Responsibilities - Engage with C-level stakeholders (CTOs, CROs, CMOs) at leading tech and media firms to drive digital transformation and win new “logo” accounts. - Create detailed business and territory plans that account for TMT market trends like 5G adoption, streaming service shifts, and SaaS-based business models. - Personally unearth net new sales opportunities through high-level networking, VC/PE ecosystem connections, and tech-industry events. - Manage the entire customer relationship lifecycle, ensuring that Salesforce solutions bridge the gap between Lead-to-Cash and high-volume subscriber management. - Lead discovery conversations that uncover technical debt and business goals related to recurring revenue models, churn reduction, and agile scalability. - Present Salesforce solutions that align with the fast-moving objectives of TMT firms. - Provide professional after-sales support to enhance customer lifetime value (LTV) and ensure long-term platform adoption. - Maintain rigorous forecasting and pipeline management, reflecting the rapid sales cycles and high-velocity nature of the technology sector. - Mentor junior Business Development resources on how to communicate value to technical buyers and product-led organizations. - Engage with Salesforce TMT-focused RVPs and AEs to co-sell and build a reputation as the preferred partner for complex high-tech implementations. - Partner with Coastal Leadership to align business development with agile delivery methodologies and DevOps-centric environments. - Work with your team to create estimates and SOWs that account for phased MVP rollouts, API-first integrations, and rapid deployment schedules. - Travel as needed Required Skills, Education and Experience - 5+ years proven expertise as a Salesforce Delivery Consultant - 5+ years of Sales experience; experience in SaaS sales or tech-focused professional services is a major plus. - Proven Portfolio Growth: Experience navigating the buying process of high-growth startups to enterprise-level media/telecom firms. - Deep experience in the Salesforce Ecosystem, specifically with Revenue Cloud (CPQ), Communications Cloud, or Media Cloud. - Consultative mindset with an understanding of subscription billing models, usage-based pricing, and digital content distribution. - Mastery of the Salesforce portfolio, including Mulesoft for high-volume API integrations and Tableau for churn and sentiment analysis. - Ability to “project manage” a sales cycle in a fast-paced, agile environment where speed-to-value is the primary driver. - Organizational skills with a focus on managing high-velocity pipelines and technical pre-sales complexity. - Experience with Technology: Salesforce, Zoominfo, LinkedIn - Must have full-time permanent US work authorization Additional Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience - Experience as a Salesforce Consultant, preferably at an implementation partner Why Coastal, and what we offer: - Flexible working hours with an emphasis on a life-work balance (in that order!) - Remote friendly - “Live by the beach, work in the Cloud,” plus company office locations in Palm Coast, FL; Atlanta, GA; Tysons, VA; Lexington, KY - Unlimited Paid Time Off (RTO), 401K with Company Match, and Medical, Vision, & Dental coverage - Competitive quarterly bonus opportunities - Continuing education and certification reimbursements, specifically within the Salesforce & Snowflake ecosystems; plus occasional in-house competitions with spot bonuses - A flexible and fun team culture!
