This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description HTM is hiring a battle-tested CFO who has helped businesses become financially disciplined, profitable, and scalable—not just someone who produces financial reports. This is not a passive accounting or advisory role. We are looking for a hands-on financial operator who understands how to install financial systems, enforce accountability around numbers, and drive measurable improvements in profitability and cash flow. To be considered, you must have: - 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience - Direct experience working with companies generating between $10M and $30M+ in annual revenue If your background is limited to financial reporting without directly influencing profitability, pricing, cash flow, and operational decisions, this role will not be a fit. What This Role Really Is: - You will serve as a CFO-level coach and financial execution partner to law firm owners across the country. - This role blends strategic financial leadership with disciplined execution and accountability. Your role includes: - Diagnosing Financial Issues: Identifying profitability leaks, pricing problems, expense inefficiencies, and cash flow risks. - Driving Financial Outcomes: Turning financial insights into clear, actionable steps that improve margins, revenue discipline, and financial stability. - Enforcing Financial Accountability: Holding firm owners accountable to financial targets, commitments, and operational discipline. A Day in the Life: - Conduct high-level 1:1 financial strategy calls with law firm owners. - Review financial statements, cash flow reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards. - Help owners understand the story behind their numbers and what actions they need to take. - Identify risks and opportunities in pricing, expenses, staffing, and operational performance. - Guide owners through budgeting, forecasting, and forward-looking financial decisions. - Document commitments and track measurable financial progress. - Respond to client communication within established white-glove service standards. - Participate in internal leadership sessions focused on scaling the HTM mission. Qualifications - 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience (CFO, Fractional CFO, or equivalent). - Direct experience working with companies generating $10M–$30M+ in annual revenue. - Proven record of improving profitability, cash flow, or financial performance in a business. - Experience working with small businesses, professional services firms, or founder-led organizations. - Deep experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling. - Ability to teach non-financial business owners how to make better financial decisions. - Experience building financial dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking systems. Requirements - This role is ideal for a financial operator who enjoys working directly with business owners and influencing real financial outcomes—not just producing reports or managing internal accounting teams. - You will thrive in this role if you are: - A Fractional or Advisory CFO - A Former CFO Who Wants More Direct Impact - A Financial Leader Who Enjoys Coaching Entrepreneurs - An Operator Who Connects Numbers to Strategy - Someone Who Values Measurable Outcomes - A Professional Who Thrives in Accountability-Driven Environments - Someone Who Wants to Influence Multiple Businesses Benefits - Base Salary: $110,000 - Performance Pay: Up to $182,000 annually depending on client roster - Your earning potential scales with your impact — not your hours. Company Description - Help law firm owners build profitable, financially disciplined businesses. - Work directly with business owners on decisions that shape their companies. - Operate as a senior financial leader in a flexible remote environment. - Leverage a system and curriculum already helping law firms scale successfully. - Work with a team that values results, discipline, and measurable progress.
