Role Mission Lead Hexion’s enterprise Agentic AI and automation strategy—architecting and scaling agentic AI capabilities, identifying automation opportunities across all business functions, championing AI fluency and a learning culture, and overseeing the execution and KPI governance of automation initiatives to deliver measurable business value across the organization. Job Responsibilities - Define and drive Hexion’s enterprise agentic AI and automation technology strategy, roadmap, and governance framework. - Systematically identify, prioritize, and pipeline automation opportunities across all functions (R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, HR). - Serve as the enterprise Subject Matter Expert (SME) for agentic AI, process automation, and intelligent workflow platforms. - Design and deploy a citizen development and automation enablement program; build internal AI fluency and capability at scale. - Lead and govern end-to-end execution of automation initiatives—from ideation through deployment and value realization. - Define, track, and report automation KPIs (cycle time reduction, cost savings, FTE capacity freed, adoption rates); course-correct as needed. - Partner with IT, Transformation Office, and Business Units to integrate agentic AI into existing platforms and digital architecture. - Build and operationalize responsible AI governance: guardrails, ethics frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance. - Establish and lead an Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) and communities of practice across the enterprise. - Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing interdisciplinary AI and automation team. - Champion a culture of continuous innovation, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Deep expertise in agentic AI architecture, multi-agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen), and LLM-based enterprise application development. - Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise automation ecosystems: RPA, low-code/no-code, intelligent process automation (IPA), and AI workflow platforms. - Strong command of AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, and enterprise risk management for AI systems. - Familiarity with chemical/process industry operations—R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial—and associated automation use cases. - Proficiency with cloud-native AI platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI) and integration patterns (APIs, microservices). - Strong data fluency: analytics pipelines, MLOps, RAG architectures, and AI system performance monitoring. - Financial literacy: ROI modeling, business case development, and value tracking for technology investments. - Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation with quantifiable, measurable outcomes. - Exceptional stakeholder influence, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
