We specialize in hydraulic troubleshooting, system installations, routine preventative maintenance, full pump rebuilds, lift station service checks, and emergency response Midwest Pump Works is hiring an experienced outside sales professional with strong mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn about pumps, ideally for municipal or industrial applications. This individual should excel in building relationships, generating leads, and closing sales. Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential. While this role is remote, we are asking for a candidate to be based in Eastern Iowa as the role requires travel throughout Eastern Iowa to job sites and customer locations. What you will do: - Prospect and develop new accounts through cold calling, leads, and networking - Manage a strong sales pipeline using NetSuite CRM - Maintain and grow existing customer relationships - Understand and promote Iowa Pump Works products and services - Collaborate with vendors and attend sales meetings, trainings, and trade shows - Deliver effective presentations and negotiate deals - Manage time independently with minimal supervision Background/ Experience: - 4+ years of outside sales experience - Mechanical aptitude - Pump knowledge is preferred - Valid driver’s license - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and travel overnight as needed
