Job Description

Lead Product Designer

Keep Company

About Keep Company Keep Company is on a mission to make human connection an intentional, scalable asset in every workplace. As a venture-backed SaaS platform recognized by Techstars, Forbes, and SHRM, we combine technology with coaching and mentoring to deliver transformative employee experiences at leading professional services organizations. At a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how we work, Keep Company is rebuilding the human layer of work, because we believe human intelligence- connection, discernment, and trust- is the most important capability organizations can invest in to strengthen culture, retention, and performance in the moments that matter most. The Role We are hiring our first dedicated Product Designer. This is a foundational design role with direct impact on what we build, how it works, and how it feels for every customer who touches our product. You’ll own core user experiences across our multi-tenant SaaS platform- from how clients set up and run programs, to how they understand impact and ROI, to how coaches and participants engage with one another over time. The problems are complex and meaningful: cognitive load at scale, simplifying multi-step workflows, making data and insights easy to act on, and designing trustworthy, human-centered interactions in and around AI-powered features. Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end product design on high-impact projects, from discovery and research through interaction design, prototyping, and delivery - Design core admin workflows that enable HR and L&D leaders to configure, launch, and manage mentoring, coaching, and group programs with confidence and minimal friction - Create data and reporting experiences that help non-technical decision-makers quickly see what’s working, where to intervene, and how to demonstrate program value to stakeholders - Shape how humans interact with AI across the product (e.g., suggestions, recommendations, summaries), ensuring experiences are transparent, trustworthy, and easy to understand - Champion human-centered design in an AI-saturated landscape - push back on reductive "efficiency-first" defaults and bring grounded expertise in applied cognitive science and HCI to ensure our product acts as a cognitive prosthetic that extends human judgment - not a system that quietly removes people from the loop - Build and evolve a scalable design system and shared interaction patterns that keep the product coherent as we grow - Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Client Success, and Founders, turning user insights and business needs into thoughtful product decisions - Bring a research mindset to the team: run lightweight studies, synthesize feedback, and use evidence to inform product direction - Directly shape how HR, L&D, and firm leaders support the development and wellbeing of their people - Reduce reliance on manual services and slide decks by making in-product experiences clear and self-serve - Influence the product roadmap by identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for clients and participants - Lay the groundwork for future design hires and help define what great product design means at Keep Company What You Bring Required Experience - BS or MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Behavioral Design, or a related field - or equivalent research-grounded industry experience with demonstrated mixed-methods rigor - 3–5+ years of applied product design experience, with at least 2 years in B2B SaaS or enterprise software - A portfolio that demonstrates work on complex, data-heavy, or AI-adjacent systems - not consumer-facing UX - Strong data visualization and information architecture skills: you've designed dashboards and reporting interfaces that non-technical users actually rely on - Systems thinking: you design interaction models and shared patterns for reuse, not one-off screens - Figma proficiency including component libraries, auto-layout, and design tokens - Experience working directly with engineers and PMs in a cross-functional environment - you understand how design decisions affect engineering complexity Nice to Have - Applied experience with HCI/AI: human oversight of automated systems, appropriate reliance, explainable AI UX, or human-in-the-loop design - Familiarity with established AI UX heuristics and guidelines (Google PAIR, Microsoft HAX, Stanford HAI, or equivalent) - Experience designing recommendation surfaces or agentic interfaces where humans must evaluate and act on AI-generated output - Multi-tenant SaaS experience including RBAC patterns and tenant-level configuration UX - Background in HR tech, L&D, or enterprise workflow tools Why Keep Company - A first-in-kind product design role with meaningful influence on product direction and company strategy - Close collaboration with founders and senior leaders; high context, low bureaucracy, and the chance to see your work in production quickly - A clear path to design leadership as we grow the team - Remote-first work with periodic in-person team sessions - Competitive salary, meaningful equity, health benefits, 401k, and flexible PTO - For this role, the base salary range is $125,000 - $165,000 per year, plus equity. The final offer will depend on your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's scope. How to Apply Some candidates may see the list above and feel discouraged because they don't match all the items. The data says this is especially true of traditionally underrepresented communities. Please apply anyway: there's a good chance you have valuable skills. We are committed to building an equitable environment, and we're taking steps to meet that commitment. If you're excited about making a tangible impact in a mission-driven organization and across the working world, we'd love to hear from you. Apply here by sending your resume and a cover letter sharing what excites you about building at the intersection of tech and human connection.

We build category-defining technology—and we’re doing it with world-class people, processes, and products. To learn more, visit our website Who Are You: You’re the type of designer who finds deep satisfaction in transforming complex challenges into elegantly simple user experiences. Driven by curiosity, you dissect intricate workflows with first-principles clarity, consistently questioning assumptions and uncovering the underlying user needs that others might overlook. For you, great design is less about aesthetic perfection and more about intuitive interactions—making the complex not just accessible, but obvious. Comfortable in ambiguity, you see uncertainty as a creative opportunity, always seeking to iterate rapidly towards clarity and simplicity. Your designs don’t just look good—they feel intuitive. You measure success not just by user delight, but by tangible improvements in user efficiency and error reduction. You're eager to shape intuitive, transformative user experiences at a critical moment in our company's journey. Your strength comes from collaboration within an empowered trio alongside a Product Lead and Tech Lead, each equally accountable and working cohesively toward shared outcomes. You leverage tools like Figma not merely to mock up, prototype, and test designs, but to foster alignment, enable rapid iteration, and validate critical user workflows early and often. What Makes This Role Unique: At Aiwyn, you’ll join one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies transforming an accounting industry long burdened by legacy software—an industry now eager for innovation. Leveraging advancements in AI and LLMs, you’ll pioneer entirely new experiences that fundamentally reimagine how tax professionals interact with deeply complex workflows. Your designs won’t just improve existing processes; they’ll set new standards for clarity, usability, and intuitive interaction, shaping the future direction of our entire platform. You won’t be part of a feature factory here. Instead, you’ll join an empowered product team, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to deeply understand customer needs and directly shape product decisions. You’ll engage firsthand with customers—conducting research, testing concepts, and rapidly iterating—ensuring your designs genuinely solve user problems rather than just checking off requirements. Beyond your own product area, you’ll partner with a supportive community of talented designers and cross-functional experts to build a cohesive, innovative platform. Together, we’re moving the industry towards automated online solutions that delight clients and dramatically improve efficiency for firms. At Aiwyn, our design system is robust but continuously evolving. You’ll not only leverage it, you’ll actively contribute to shaping its future alongside your peers in our design guild. Here, nothing is considered sacred; every idea is open to refinement, innovation, and improvement. If you’re an experienced product designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment—one that offers genuine ownership, direct customer engagement, and the freedom to continually rethink and refine how an entire industry operates—this is your role. What You'll Do: - Intuitive Flow Design: Develop and champion user experiences that dramatically simplify complex tax workflows, ensuring intuitive interactions that minimize errors and cognitive load. - Empowered Collaboration: Work as a cohesive unit with a Product Lead and Tech Lead, equally accountable for shared outcomes, fostering seamless alignment from strategic vision through execution. - Rapid Prototyping & Validation: Quickly create, iterate, and validate designs using tools like Figma, ensuring alignment with user needs and swift feedback loops. - Flexible and Adaptive Solutions: Innovate design solutions that allow efficient workflow adaptation based on real-time context and user interactions. - Strategic Documentation: Clearly articulate the "why" behind every design decision through robust documentation, storytelling, and visual communication to keep teams aligned and informed. - Design Culture Influence: Actively shape our design team's culture, methodologies, and standards, collaborating with colleagues to elevate our collective design capability and approach. What Success Looks Like: - 7+ years designing complex B2B SaaS products in high‑cognitive‑load, operationally demanding environments. - Demonstrated ability to turn intricate workflows into intuitive, user‑centered experiences that reduce errors and speed up task completion. - Deep collaboration track record with product managers and engineers—you co‑own outcomes, not just screens. - Mastery of rapid prototyping and iterative design in Figma (and similar tools), validating concepts early through research and testing. - Exceptional communicator who clearly and persuasively explains design rationale to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Expert UX writer who crafts concise, clear microcopy that enhances every interaction. - Solid grasp of cross‑device browser behavior and core web tech (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); you partner closely with engineers to ship designs as intended. Preferred: - Experience or strong interest in accounting, financial services, or tax compliance software.
